The guy who serve us is very kind. Noteworthy: They only accept walk-ins, no reservation needed. They do have a lunch break 12-1pm. They are on the 2nd floor. Rm. 215- see directory on entrance to make sure. They have forms to fill in and computers and printers to print out your forms. They also have a photobooth for your picture taking. Process: You go in the security xray scanner there is a guard who would instruct you then get a priority number, luckily it was just us then they would call you. See my image for further information.
I was nervous about visiting the Korean Consulate the first time I went. I do not speak Korean and had no idea what to expect! I shouldn't have worried. The people who work there were incredibly nice! Jaeho in particular, was super friendly and helpful. He put my mind at ease, and answered all of my questions. The waiting area is small, but comfortable. The building itself is beautiful and fairly easy to find. When I went back a second time (with my daughter), she agreed with all of the wonderful things I'd told her about my previous visit. You will be in excellent hands here!!! I highly recommend!!!!
The Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Boston has relocated to the 8th floor of the same building!
Had urgent case, needed lots of documents And notarized, staffs in consulate were super professional , helpful and kind. Worth it to fly all the way to BOS since they accept walk ins and tried their best to assist step by step in timely manners . Highly recommended
Hi, I went to the consulate on Friday (Jan 15th) at 9:36am for 10am appointment. The two women I spoke to were very disrespectful. One of the worst experiences I have ever gone through with immigration. It was all over outdated applications. I came in to submit my application for a Visa with a Visa Issuance number. At first, I had completed the wrong application then the first lady had me fill another one (no problem right?). Then I brought it back to her and had her rudely question me about my plans in Korea. I said I was working and she realized she had given me the wrong application. I had to fill out another (no problem right?, no). At that point, she became irate. She told me I was wasting her time and holding up the line (only four people were inside). She blamed me for not printing out the correct forms they had emailed me. She would not STOP AND LET IT GO. I broke down in tears in front of the people who were there and had a nice woman comfort me and give me tissues. She purposely made me sit and wait until 10:47am before she decided I waited enough. Then bought another disrespectful woman to tell me everything was my fault and that they could deny my Visa at that moment for "false" documents. I have never been so humiliated, degraded and embarrassed in front of complete strangers for no reason. It wasn't a big deal at all and they made it. I would like an apology for my horrific experience by these two women. Update: I called the consulate today because they told me my Visa would be ready to print in two weeks, it's been three. I called them and asked. The lady on the phone said it's ready to be printed. Even though, it said that it was under review. I checked twice, called again and got another lady, who said, they don't plan on releasing my Visa because of my Google review! She said, she has all the control and there is nothing I can do about it. That they will keep my Visa pending for however long they want. On God, this actually happened. Called another consulate and they said they will do my process over again. Thank God, good people still exist :).
One of the workers here is INCREDIBLY rude. I presented the documents I’d printed off of the website, and she claimed that I brought the wrong forms and went on for about two straight minutes about how irresponsible I am in front of a full room of people. A korean person right before me had brought the wrong form as well, but she simply gave him the correct form and didn’t say anything. I asked her if any additional documents are required, and instead of answering, she told me I was unprepared and told me to come back when I was ready. Another person right after me asked what documents he needed to bring, and she happily gave him a list of the required documents. They are incredibly unprofessional and have a strong bias against those who visit. At one point I asked my partner if we had printed the forms from the website to get a second confirmation, and the lady interrupts and says "Are you visiting Korea or is he?" and proceeds to tell me it’s my responsibility to print all the forms and demands I show her where I downloaded it from. Every time I have visited the embassy I have had a horrible experience. Others in the reviews seem to have received the same treatment.
I want to heap on the praise for the consulate. I had an incredibly complex set of paperwork and circumstance when getting a work visa to goto Korea. The staff here went the extra mile in guiding me and my family through the process and helped get this done as quickly as possible while giving us regular communications and updates. I understand not everybody’s experiences are the same, but for me, I am forever grateful for the consulate team. Thank you!
