Napa Valley College

This community college really helped me get back on my feet, and I couldn’t be more grateful. Compared to the other local colleges I’ve attended, this one stands out in every way. The faculty are passionate about their subjects and genuinely care about their students' success. Most of the professor I’ve had has been not only knowledgeable but also approachable and kind. The campus atmosphere is peaceful and quiet—perfect for focusing on your studies. The dorms are clean and comfortable, although, like much of California, the cost of living is on the higher side. That said, the sense of community here more than makes up for it. Whether it’s the staff, professors, or fellow students, everyone is respectful, supportive, and easy to get along with. If you're looking for a college with a welcoming environment, quality education, and a calm place to grow, this is definitely worth considering.

Great local college with lots of affordable options. If you’re continuing student, they make it very easy. Or if you’re just somebody in the community Who wants to take a few classes for fun and enrichment. They also help you with that process. Ive been taking a few ceramic classes here and have thoroughly enjoyed it. I feel like it’s a very good space with great resources, and just a delight. I recommend this class for lots of people and the school.

I came to this college feeling empty but when I left after years of studying and tutoring, I was full of knowledge. I had my confidence again. I had help from everyone; the English center worked tirelessly with me to correct my essays and the tutors in the math center with their big support for me to understand my statistics assessments.....this is just to name a few. In this college, when you are dedicated, you will get all that you need because they have all the right people to help you.

I came in to see if I could see a counselor about upcoming classes in the spring although it seemed like computers and self-service was the main offering. I did however get to speak briefly with the counselor that was on the computer that offered to help so I’m hopeful that I can get my questions answered although their website had many 404 error so there’s definitely, some room for improvement

We have amazing emotional ties to this college it really is one of the best places of learning for those embarking in new directions preparing for new careers in business the arts public service or preparing for university if they so choose it’s a great stable foundation for higher education with an amazing staff and counseling staff there for you at every turn to advance your goals. I am honored to have been subjected to such an amazing beautiful campus and so proud to be able to say that my wife is also helping those who are envisioning a better future through education.

The instruction has generally been solid, however more than a couple times have I witnessed how the administration has mismanaged things pretty terribly. Overall the admin staff seems top-heavy, ignorant of the student populace, and misguided by the whims of the good idea fairly. Blasting money into grandiose dreams that may or may not be beneficial to the students. A perfect example is the vast number of tennis courts in great condition without many tennis classes available, nor a prestigious tennis team. Meanwhile the bookstore is expensive, and has limited inventory.

It took awhile to learn how to navigate on the computer to make transaction for classes and appointments with counselors but once I went to the help desk in the administrative building they have a team of people to help you get things done. So grateful for them.
