Georgia Career Institute Murfreesboro Campus

I recently started the cosmetology program at Georgia Career Institute, in January 2025 and I couldn't be happier with my experience so far as a freshman! The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about what they do, always willing to go the extra mile to help students succeed. Covering everything from basic techniques to advanced trends in hairstyling, skincare, and nail technology. One of the standout aspects of the program is the hands-on training. We had plenty of opportunities to practice on real clients in a salon-like environment, which boosted my confidence and skill level. Overall, I feel well-prepared to start my career in the beauty industry. If you're passionate about cosmetology and looking for a supportive and enhancing learning environment, I highly recommend this program!

I went to this school many many many moons ago but I still remember the experience like it was yesterday. This honestly was the best school that I ever attended (and I have been to a lot of schools). With everything comes good and bad especially experience, the school did have it’s fair share of things going on around that time but who doesn’t go through something. I want to give the BIGGEST shout out to my instructor Mrs. Kayla. She really made the experience amazing. I don’t really remember if anyone is still there from my time. Each time that I have come in after that has been pleasant experiences. I loved the atmosphere that GCI created for us as students. I attended the night time program for Nail Technician back in 2015 and it was in fact the Murfreesboro Location. They could be a little better about answering the phone or returning phone calls.

I can honestly say I had very pleasant experience. I came in to get an overlay and the day time instructor Ms Stephanie squeezed me in for a next day appointment to compensate me. I arrived to my appointment and my student Special did a great job on her first attempt of deep French tips.

I’m not a student here (thankfully), but I contacted this school on behalf of a friend who lives out of state. She’s tried multiple times to reach someone and can’t get a single call back. The woman in financial services (who doesn’t give her name) was incredibly rude and offered no help whatsoever. No one seems willing to return calls to former students who entrusted this place. If I could give zero stars, I would. This place needs serious improvement in customer service and communication — start by checking messages and returning calls! For the record, I wasn’t even asking for private details — just a general question about how to pay a remaining balance. If someone had called her back, this wouldn’t even be an issue.

I am an esthetics student here at the Murfreesboro campus. Ms. Abby was very warm and welcoming throughout my entire enrollment process. She is kind, genuine, and always willing to help. The instructors in the esthetics department- Ms. Sheri, Ms. Daelyn, & Ms.Aliyah are also amazing and informative. I am learning so much from my instructors. From my enrollment with the beautiful Ms. Abby, to my education with my awesome instructors, I am so thankful to be here with such an amazing staff.

I drive 25 miles there and then back. I have health problems. Cora was not nice at all today gave me the run around. I requested Isabell Miller last week. Have had several visits with here. After 40 minutes sitting today started asking if Isabell there. Cora wasn't answering straight and tried to give me another girl. Isabell if you see this reach out. I tried to come back to see you before you leave. Cora made another lady stand for Luke 20 minutes to pay while she sat there and fumbled with busy work. It is time to replace her.

I’m all for supporting each and every student but for as the policy on public service its bs. I took my daughters for the first time to get their nails done Friday at 6pm we left at 9:40pm.The moment we pulled in the drive way at home they both had lost at least one nail, ok cool no biggie figure they would fix it when I call during business hours. Here it is Monday I called to see what can be done about their nails seeing now that they both have about 6 maybe four fingers with nails remaining… I was all for them going back to get them fix practice makes prefect I get it these are learning techs but for them to tell me I will have to pay $3! For each nail that came off is insane…at least have the same policy as if I took them into a licensed shop after paying $73! Smh and it’s not the students at all I wish them all the best on their journey!
