I got my hair curled for my college senior photos! The young lady who did it was SO sweet! She’s only 17! All of the other employees were really nice and helpful, too! I would highly recommend going here for hair styling for any event. The scheduling is easy. They book up quick on Saturdays though!!

My appointment was at 9am. I didn’t walk out until 2pm. It took 5 hours just to foil, tone, and wash my hair. I walked out with wet hair because I told the stylist that I had to be done by 1pm. I just told her to not blow dry or style my hair because I was already an hour late for another appointment I had to be at. I ended up paying $83. Horrible experience, I would leave a zero star review if that was an option. I am normally very understanding but 5 hours just to apply color is insane. I would NEVER recommend going here.

I received extremely poor service, today. The student was so kind and incredibly professional, but the skills needed were not at a level for public service. However, what I was most disappointed in was the response from the instructors. When at the front desk, they were incredibly rude and did not want to acknowledge the poor service provided. They were eating McDonalds and wouldn’t even put down a sandwich and stand up to examine my nails. The best they said they could do was 20% off, so I paid $12 for this. I completely understand this is a school and a learning experience for students, I didn’t expect an expert level of service. However, this is not even acceptable for a beauty school. Sadly, I would have returned, even after this experience, but due to the lack of professionalism by the instructors and inability to take responsibility for poor service, I will not be returning.

i love this place, great haircuts that are affordable (kind of perfect for hall state students). your experience will be different depending on the student working, but in my experiences this place is great for gender affirming haircuts! staff is super friendly and the vibes are always awesome

Adrian did an excellent job with my cut and color. My regular hair stylist had to cancel our appointment and I needed to find someplace fast before I went out of town. I tried Amber's and they got me in the same day I'm so pleased with the results, I may start going there regularly.

I love the experience and atmosphere at Amber's. I have been to other beauty schools where it is a chaotic and not well managed/maintained. To me, the calm atmosphere is what I am looking for.The girls were sweet.

Jordan Mink did an absolutely fantastic job with a great facial. I loved how she was able to hold a conversation while doing my facial I don’t like sitting in silence and she told me step by step what she was doing so I didn’t have to ask her a million times "what’s that and that" overall great experience with her!
