Gurnick Academy - Modesto Campus

This place is so unorganize save your money!!!!. If i cant close this place down i would & i thought public schools are bad. Gurnick Academy is incompetent. I dont even know why they still taking people's money. Some days without instructors, theory is always off topic from exam days & even on graduation days they don't even have enough seating for the graduates to sit on, really!!!!. I have had it with this school... save your money and go somewhere else. This school should be closed down, they're only in it for the money, their not there to help you become successful in life. WORST SCHOOL EVER!!!!

I was in the nursing program and this year I got my LVN license after passing the boards. I want to thanks to some of the teachers who supported me and the others students during our journey. Unfortunately I need to add some negative comments. (2025) The new staff from the front desk barely answer the phone. Then I contacted by e-mail three people from the offices about a question then only one reply me back. I don’t know if the other two are in vacation. I ended going there to get an answer to my question and I was told to e-mail someone. So far nothing. Anyways. I am apologizing for my last negative comments but I really need to get an answer to a question.

This school is ridiculous, they treat us like children especially when it’s about the parking lot! They’re legit parking policemen! And for the clinicals they don’t work with the students to accommodate our work schedule or kid’s schedule! They literally send all the students from this town to a whole other town, (45 minutes away) and the once that live in another town they send them to this town for their clinicals! I’m definitely not coming back to this inconsiderate school!

I'm a nurse now. What more can I say. Just do it. Great instructors: Debbie Marks & Stacy Dahlin. Only 2 instructors that really stood out to me and helped the most. All instructors are pretty good too.

The whole process from the beginning to the very end as a LVN student had its pros and cons. For example, the only bad part about Modesto Gurnick was 1 instructor quitting in the middle of the term. Which made my own experience a challenge at that specific time. The great part about this school was learning the material and meeting classmates who had each other's back. Moreover, I strongly stand beside Angel Yang. She is the Student Service Coordinator who communicated on time and fast. As a student like me I asked a million questions and she never made me feel like none of my questions were not valid. She always had a positive outlook in my nursing journey as a student. I graduated and passed the NCLEX so it was worth going there. Nonetheless I put hard work into my studies in order to get my LVN license. Lastly, I was in the P.M class that always had a security guard at the front entrance of the building so safety was a 10/10.

I was interested in being a student here but had a couple questions about career direction , FAFSA , things like that . I’ve called to try to speak to an advisor or counselor many many times (different times and days) , left many voicemails , spoken to the ladies that answer the phones that promised a call back …. 3 weeks now and nothing still . Not even an acknowledgment that my messages are being received or passed on . If I can’t even get a simple phone call back from someone to ask a few questions for 3 weeks , it just shows me what communication is going to be like at this school .. probly not a good fit then I suppose . I was really excited and optimistic about this potential career opportunity :/ seeing all the other reviews now actually kinda confirmed it , sounding real scammy .

Im currently going to school here and so far it has been an amazing experience. The instructures are so understanding and helpful. Financial aid has helped me extremely with my payments and have been patient with my FASFA.
