UWM School of Continuing Education

From start to finish, I had a fantastic experience working with the team at the UWM SCE’s downtown conference center. The service Ron and Hunter provided was outstanding, they even came down with a cart to help me unload supplies for my event when the rest of my team hadn’t arrived yet. They were responsive and prompt with all our questions before and after we signed the contract. Their space rental rates are among the most affordable in the city, and there’s no catering exclusivity, meaning you can work with the food/beverage vendor of your choice, two big selling points. We would not hesitate to host another event with UWM SCE!

The UWM School of Continuing Education department of languages has been very helpful to me over the last few years. The virtual courses fit my schedule, and the professors are very supportive and knowledgeable. It has been a pleasure to learn more about languages with all the support from the staff of the UWM School of Continuing Education and Languages department. Thanks so much!

In my time attending UWM's School of Continuing Education's College for Kids programs I had an amazing experience. Their programs helped me build friendships and meet people that I am still in contact with six years later.

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute is a great way to continue to learn new and interesting things - as well as meet other people. They have done a great job of shifting to all online classes during the pandemic. These classes have been a great way to stay in touch and learn while safer at home.

For me, one of the best parts of retiring was finally getting to start attending classes with the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UWM, otherwise known to the members of our chapter as Osher. I've enjoyed getting together with others for lectures and classes about literature, history, science, and more. Even now, when our meetings are via Zoom, the learning and sharing continues. But I'll admit, I'm looking forward to the day that we can meet, travel, eat, and learn together in person again.

Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UWM is OUSTANDING! It offers classes on History, Literature, Art, and even current events. Zoom classes have been offered since the Pandemic arrived along with many other class options. Osher even offers tech classes to learn how to Zoom with a Tech Support Team to offer personalized assistance. You won't regret your decision to become a member!

Osher rocks! In preparation for teaching a Zoom class to elementary school children in French, I contacted one of the Osher members and received some specialized tools for moving forward with my project. Her 'tips' helped me lead the virtual class with a minimal amount of missteps. I gained a lot of confidence after working individually with Laurie, as well as attending her regular Zoom tutorials for all Osher members. Love the variety of programs, too!
