South Texas College - Pecan Campus

This place has some horrible problems especially with IT. They like to play telephone and send you to this department to forward you to this department to tell you it's an IT issue back then IT sends you back to admissions. You wait in q on the phone line and they drop your call after an hour. Eventually physically goto campus and play ring around the Rosie again. Although the professors I've had so far are great but I'm not rating them here. I'm rating the bad apples in each department. The ones that don't care and are just collecting checks. That's why this rating is so low. I'm sorry the campus is closed for the day thank you for calling and wasting your time.

Was on queue on hold for from 5 PM all the way to 630 for an hour and a half offer them to hang up on me. I get out at 5 PM I can’t call any other time but if every day I’m gonna call and they’re just gonna hang up in my face, this is gonna be a problem cause I cannot go in at the moment, I’ve scheduled a call back and they didn’t call me back, so that’s why I decided to stay in queue this time, I have so many questions just trying to get the program I need started.

STC has helped me become a better person. Professors are helpful and people are friendly. As a student and a worker I have nothing but praise to the place.

What is a nice Community College I have enjoyed being a student there this far

STC staff you need to either fall back in line or remember what your purpose in the position your in is, we know who the foundation is in this place and you need to get proffessers and employees who think they are in high school a much needed education on respect, they dont care if I attend or not then I dont want someone who thinks respect is a negotiable thing either you come with it or you dont, dont get mad for collateral damage after all yall say it everytime our FINACIAL AID and everything stays in a system, if you dont remember whats the reason you are there, then students exit will remind you if we ever choose to go anywhere, cause you all will still have a job right.

I have been requesting my academic transcriptions since June. I’ve been leaving messages and I don’t get called back or any assistance. I don’t live in the area anymore what can I do…..

I recently graduated from stc on December 9th, 2023. I didn't know what degree i should study. Until the pandemic started, then I got a goal. I switched majors. I have bad AD, and I can not focus in class. In person classes started to become more difficult. Online classes are easier for me because they are at my pace. I work 10 hours a day and have school after work. Sometimes, I hop on early to do studies early in the morning. My professors are amazing and upfront. Make sure you pay attention to the syllabus course and highlight due dates. Print out the campus dates and syllabus due dates. Always evaluate to help them understand what they need to improve their job. I used to have financial aid, but I decided to pay it out of pocket because of family issues. I heard some students had trouble getting financial aid. It was easier for me. It is a tedious process. Some staff will help you but remember they're people too, not robots. I'm going to miss the gaming club. I graduated with no debt with an Associates degree. This was an overall good experience for finding what you can achieve in a good education is affordable. Finally, I can sleep.
