I started at Dae Han over 12 years ago when I was 8 years old. I was a very shy kid who didn’t like to try new things. My parents had tried putting me in several different sports, but none of them stuck. When I started at Dae Han though, I actually enjoyed it and wanted to continue. To be honest, at that age, I never really cared that much about the actual Taekwondo that I was learning. Of course I enjoyed it, but what made me stay was the amazing community that Dae Han had. Master Kim and all the other teachers were so kind and genuine, and really made an effort to create a relationship with every student. Through the Taekwondo that was taught and the relationships that were made, I learned so many lifeskills and grew so much as a person over the years. Now today, I am one of the head instructors at Dae Han and am planning on making Taekwondo my career. Dae Han has given me so much more than I could have ever dreamed of. Dae Han is my second home and my second family, and I’m so grateful to be part of this community.

We have trained in Taekwondo for over five years, and my son is now close to the advanced level. The instructors are absolutely amazing, patient, kind, and incredibly supportive.
