I absolutely love attending this school! The atmosphere within the students is so welcoming, the curriculum is very extensive and thoughtfully designed and the instructors genuinely care about their students success. A true highlight is Mrs. Reza, an incredibly talented medical esthetician whose knowledge and expertise are inspiring. She has a gift for breaking down advanced techniques in a way that’s easy to understand, making every lesson exciting and valuable. Learning from her has been such a privilege, and she truly goes above and beyond to ensure every student feels confident and prepared. Students graduate with a deep understanding of how to enhance their clients’ natural beauty and create transformative results, while also learning the importance of making every client feel confident and cared for. One of my favorite parts of this journey has been seeing the joy and satisfaction on my clients’ faces—it’s truly rewarding. If you’re considering a beauty school, this is the perfect place to start your journey.
I’m currently a student at Laredo CHI Academy, and my experience so far has been amazing. Ms.Reza is extremely knowledgeable and patient, always taking the time to make sure we understand both the theory and hands-on techniques. I really appreciate how much emphasis she puts on real-world training—it makes me feel confident about stepping into the industry after graduation. The curriculum is well-structured, covering everything from skincare basics to advanced treatments, and we get plenty of practice with clients in the student salon. Ms.Reza and Ms.Ortiz are supportive and encouraging, and the environment feels welcoming and professional. If you’re considering becoming an esthetician, I definitely recommend CHI Academy in Laredo. It’s giving me the skills and confidence I need to succeed in this field!
Got a facial done with the best esthetician ever Giselle Valdez come see her for a facial and chi academy, honestly it so worth it my skin has never felt better, Giselle also provides such a great service, she has such a gentle touch and it’s also so relaxing you will fall sleep 😴 ❤️❤️ and my skin is so glowy , she also knows exactly what your skin needs 😊
They have a law suit in connection of withholding students academic credentials from students. These people NEED TO BE AUDITED by the TDLR! Guidance published in the 2000-2001 edition of the Federal Student Aid Handbook also explicitly permitted colleges to withhold official academic transcripts. Page 1-69: "A school can withhold academic transcripts from students who are in default or owe an overpayment if it wishes, but it must release financial aid transcripts or financial aid history information at the request of the student or another school." Page 1-74: "A school can’t withhold FAT information for a student who owes a debt to the school (such as unpaid tuition and fees, or a library fine or parking fine). However, the Department doesn’t discourage the withholding of official academic transcripts in compliance with applicable state laws." This guidance was omitted from subsequent editions of the Federal Student Aid Handbook, presumably because paper financial aid transcripts were eliminated. Transcript Release You may have been told by a school that your academic transcript will not be released to you unless your defaulted student loan is satisfied. The academic transcript is the property of the school, and it is the school’s responsibility to decide whether to release the transcript to you. There is no Federal law which allows the guaranty agency or the Department to tell the school not to release academic transcripts. Our role is only to inform schools of the current status of your account. In the discussion of 34 CFR 674.31 in 59 FR 61399 (11/30/1994), the Department wrote that "Withholding the official academic transcript is in violation of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), regardless of whether the borrower has signed such a provision in his or her promissory note. Such a provision may not be included in the promissory note." However, in the final regulations published the day before, the Department wrote that "An institution may withhold a student’s academic transcript until unpaid charges are paid if it so chooses. However, the Secretary notes that an institution may not withhold a student’s financial aid transcript until unpaid charges are paid." The Department subsequently clarified that colleges may withhold official transcripts if they provide the students with unofficial transcripts in compliance with FERPA. It was merely reversing prior guidance (1994-1995 Federal Student Aid Handbook page 6-16) that permitted colleges to add "a provision that it will not release a student’s academic transcript if the student is in default" in the promissory note.
Always a great experience with the girls who love what they do and their supervisor standing by to assist them. And as long as you communicate clearly what you want to have done and have the patience you will love your results like I do. Today I had Adriana Chavarria as my stylist with a lovely personality and once she was done I just love my long layers cut and blowout. 😊🤳🏼 Awesome job, thank you so much Adriana. 🙏🏼✨☘️
Hands down the best school to become an esthetician! Mrs. Reza is a chemist and a Medical Esthetician, so everything she teaches is backed by science and focused on real results. What I love the most is that she genuinely wants us to understand the why behind every treatment and every product we use. She really pushes us to learn, absorb everything, and be the best at what we do. So grateful to be learning from someone who truly cares about our growth 🤍✨
This school is very unprofessional and they lack interest in helping students learn about there career and training. I attended this school worst mistake, the staff "Mrs v" would always be hangover and always had a bad temper towards the students and my self. As well all of the interaction with the instructors at chi academy was horrible. They make faces about individual students and would create an environment hostile. When I brought it up to the director Mrs fierro, and owner reza they would just laugh it off and say "it’s a girls school it’s normal"and wouldn’t take any accountability of there staff. I suffered many incidents at this school from harassment with a gun, getting hit by a broom, and even pushed, teachers failing me on purpose and putting me on a warning. When they imputed the score wrong. Never did I get an apology for there mistreatments. It took me over a year and half to finish my hours because all the set back they would do to me it was a constant struggle to finish my studies because the lack of un professionalism and lack of integrity. I graduated and Mrs V didn’t give me my certificates from completion my course at Laredo chi she mentioned to me to just come in as a walk in and she would hand them to me. A year passes of my trying to get ahold of Mrs v to give me my certificate and Mrs c and Mrs Ortiz and even the owner would always hang my calls and blocked my number from calling the school. A week ago I went in person to the school. Mrs V didn’t want to speak to me.she made me wait over four hours in the lobby and stated to come on Monday which is today and I was told she was going to give me the certifications I had completed. Monday comes and Mrs v and Mrs Ortiz stated they are not going to give me any certifications because they don’t owe me anything. I don’t understand why this school is very hostile and continue to retaliate against me. Don’t come to this school they give you use chi kits and charge you for even gloves and as well they charged me twice with my financial aid this school is a complete scam and extremely irresponsible. I hope my feedback helps any new students who are interested in the cosmetology, look for a better school like the professional academy. Don’t waste your time in the old school who don’t have new materials.
