Adult Learning Center Osceola (ALCO)

Sarah and Ivy, the two front office clerks are unprofessional and unwilling to communicate. They are rude and dismissive. There have been times when people were left standing outside during emergencies without any guidance or support. They also refuse to speak with anyone before 7:45 a.m, even for urgent matters, while sitting in the front office laughing and talking and completely ignoring people who need assistance. There is definitely a lack of professionalism and concern. It doesn’t cost to be nice. ALCO DO A BETTER JOB AT HIRING PEOPLE WITH GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE.

"I will miss level 6 with Mr. Manuel Hernández and my classmates. We really enjoyed our classes every day.I would have liked to spend more time; we were an excellent group. Mr. Hernández is a very kind and patient person, he likes teaching and working with immigrants, excellent teacher!!

I am American and native English speaker. My long term partner is from South America. ALCO is giving him the opportunity to learn English. He feels comfortable with his classes and has met some nice friends as well.

ALCO offers an excellent opportunity to learn English quickly, even in an enjoyable way, as the teachers interact and teach classes on current topics, topics that concern everyday life, which makes one familiar with life in the US, among other things.

I had reallyyyy high hopes for this school thats is why i enrolled my daughter here. (It looks like all the great reviews were only for the ESOL class)She started august of last year. She attended from monday to Friday and never missed a day. By october she already had passed language arts,sciene and history. Meanwhile her class mates and her started studying for the math test and they notice that whenever they took the math pretest,nothing that came on that test the teacher never teached it. So they waited until december to see if she would but didn't. My daughter talked to the teacher verbally and vía text and went to the school counselor for help for this math test and no one gave the help they say they give you when you enrolled. All this because the math teacher stopped giving class because of personal situations she was going through. No substitute no answer texts ,no help. This school is not free,gas is not free. And my daughter going over there with the will to get her GED and to go there and teacher wasnt feeling like giving class and put a movie... i didn't pay for this,thats a lack of respect for this students who work hard to get their GED and its very unethical. The teacher only focused on the graduation preparation and new students coming in and forgot or ignored the students asking for help.I talked to the director of the school who was clueless of how this works and said the school counselor will call me,she did and the only option there is,is that my daughter starts over again,re enroll, paying again. I said where she needed the help in. If all of them would have helped when my daughter went to all of them,im certain she wouldn't have to go through this and taken the test 4 times cause she needed the teacher to help her to know where she needs reenforcement. I mean thats what there websites states.

Excellent place to learn English, the teachers are great and their methodologies adapt to the students' needs. I am very grateful for the opportunity to study with this team.
