Montessori Hearts Kent

We have had an absolutely incredible experience having our toddler at Montessori Hearts! All of the teachers are warm, attentive and knowledgeable in their roles. My toddler has loved going to school every day, and has built strong lasting relationships with both staff and other children there! Couldn’t have asked for a better place for my daughter.

Wonderful Montessori school! It’s family-owned, faith-based, and the teachers are truly amazing. My child has been attending for two years, and I’ve seen incredible growth—not only socially but also academically. One unique aspect is the language program: my child’s class learns Korean (the other primary class learns Chinese), which is such a rare and valuable opportunity you don’t often find at other Montessori schools or daycares. The teachers are attentive and supportive, working with each child’s individual needs and interests, and giving them quality 1:1 time. As with most Montessori programs, you do need to advocate for your child and encourage them to try new things, since the approach is more child-led—but that’s part of what makes the environment so nurturing and empowering. We love the school so much that our 1-year-old will be starting in the toddler class this fall. Beyond the teachers, the community of parents is also wonderful—supportive, caring, and engaged. We feel very grateful to have found this school!

We enrolled our daughter at Montessori Hearts when she was 18 months old, and it has been such a wonderful experience. The Montessori environment is nurturing and thoughtful, and the teachers truly care about each child. She has blossomed in her independence, social skills, and curiosity—we’re so grateful to be part of this school community!

My son has been going to Montessori hearts since before he was 2, he is now in kindergarten. We have absolutely loved it. He has learned so much, has gotten super independent, and loves his teachers and friends. Also it’s nice as a working parent to have a good relationship with the school where I can text, call, receive pictures, updates, etc. easily. My younger son is starting in September as well and we will forever be a MHearts family!

Montessori Hearts located in Kent is the absolute BEST place when it comes to nurturing children & teaching them all of life's important skills! if you want your toddler/child to: 1) Learn how to be a kind, well-rounded, independent person 2) Learn math, science, reading, practical life skills, art, foreign language vocab 3) Love school & its staff then Montessori Hearts is seriously the place you want. My 2 children (ages 6 and 5) have been attending since 2021. I even had my daughter attend K-grade there because I find the education/care so valuable. Everyday, they come home, telling me about something new they have learned (science, math, English letters, Chinese/Korean words, tons of artwork, practical life skills, how to interact with ppl, etc). By the way, this school is doing Montessori in the truest way. I notice my children call their activities "work," which I love because it makes them not afraid of work. My children are constantly interacting with amazing materials as they learn all subjects, constantly stimulated/challenged. School emphasizes learning individually through their rug and table work, but also do collaborative work (my daughter got excited many times when she was able to help younger students/peers when it was a work she knew how to do). The most astonishing thing is how calm, smooth, orderly the whole environment is at all times. Children know exactly what to do according to routines- moving from work to work seamlessly, going from snack time to work time, to playground time. There is zero chaos. Children learn to be so incredibly independent. Children set up their work, clean up, help each other, learn how to speak to each other. I am a 9th grade science teacher, but I have learned so much simply by observing this school when it comes to discipline, how to motivate & encourage students, and how to raise my children. This school teaches me constantly how capable children are. The staff is absolutely warm, kind, encouraging, open to giving advice/suggestions/support in raising my children. Every single staff member brings so much to the school with their wisdom/experience, my children adored every single adult there as the years have passed. As of now, my children are extremely skilled in practical life skills, numbers, reading, crafting and even have started learning the concepts of multiplication/division because of the challenging, stimulating, yet accessible activities (work) they are exposed to all day at this school. There is real, tangible, deep LEARNING happening at this school. But not just the academic aspect...my children are loved, cared for in the deepest way at Montessori Hearts Kent. They are learning how to be complete, whole people here. I trust this staff with everything. By the way, the 15-month-old & up toddlers are getting the same challenges and nurturing. They also nap well 🙂 Grateful that a school like this exists. I am not exaggerating any of this, every parent I have spoken to at the school also feels the way I feel, they love Montessori Hearts and what it has done for their child. If you are at all curious about this school, contact the director & you can observe/tour! You will absolutely be blown away by what you see/hear. Children are absolutely beautiful in the way that they learn and interact, and this school brings it out in the most amazing way. There are also beautiful events throughout the school year for mothers/fathers day, music concert, end-of-year celebrations etc. Send your child to Montessori Hearts, it will be the best thing for your toddler/child.

Amazing school, phenomenal teachers who will really love on your kids. I recommend this school to every family exploring childcare options. Both my kids attended Montessori hearts and we loved every moment of it.
