Well, I hope this message reaches the principal of this school. I came here because my husband insisted that it looked like a very good school, and he asked and they said they charged $40 for a hair coloring service. So I came and showed them a picture of how my hair looked before and how I wanted it to look. The girl who attended me said that if I wanted it that way, she would have to charge me more. I agreed, and they charged me $115. I thought, "That's what my regular stylist charges me, $130," and I said, "Okay, it's $15 less, and I'll try this school that my husband recommended." The truth is, I left very disappointed with how they left my hair. They left it exactly the same as when I arrived. The only thing they did was cover my gray hairs, and they just told me that it turned out that way because my hair was very dark. Maybe that's true, but they should have told me from the beginning, and I would have made the decision whether to do it or not. They lied to me from the start, and it's not right that they deceive people and string them along with lies. I have pictures of how I wanted it, how it was before, and how it turned out. Well, this comment is here so that this doesn't happen to anyone else, and now I understand why they charge you before providing the service. Very disappointed and frustrated because now I'm going to have to go to my regular stylist to fix it, and I'm going to have to pay $130. What a shame, but oh well. 😌

It was my first time getting a haircut here and it was an awesome experience. I had Kelly as my stylist and she's great at what she does! She gave me the cutest bob and definitely a sweet person. I love that she made sure she consulted her teacher in every step she did. I highly recommend! Will be recommending to everyone and might as well take my mother here next time. Great job!

Updating review. I gave 2 stars, now dropping it to 1. This is an awful place to go. Where workers and staff poorly treat others and make awful remarks in front of African American customers. I explained what I witnessed from the students and from the staff in a phone conversation today with the head person in charge of the school and not only did not receive an apology but was told bc I spoke up and said something that I would not be serviced anymore - which honestly I am fine with. I don’t want to go to a place where I see this sort of behavior or witness that this is somehow the new norm and acceptable behavior. I live by a strong code of conduct and I acted in good faith today hoping to converse with the person in charge to make them fully aware of the situation however, it is clear that they are not well trained on proper communication skills to oversee the business and realize that these sort of situations are not acceptable behavior. It is also important to notate the these issues and concerns WERE raised upon leaving the day of service, to a staff member by the name of Fran. All concerns were raised, however bc I care about other people and I respect the business owner I chose to reach out today to offer changing my review in hopes of making this place better. It is however unfortunate to report no comfort was given or even remorse of the actions taken place and instead of choosing to take this as a learning experience I was then badgered for speaking up and saying something. (Weekend before Thanksgiving week) Today was not a good day for the school salon beauty. Putting that aside, I would like to discuss the disgusting and disturbing behavior by some of the staff (Esmeralda) and some of the student workers. I am very surprised I have been going here for just over year now, it was a way to save money while allowing others to learn. You save money but you don’t save time as teachers look over students work, which I have always been fine with. However, today was not a good day or a good experience. Students I witnessed multiple times I was there not talking at all to their clients and instead talking to each other (student to student) saying inappropriate things about their clients hair RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEM!!!! This is NOT professional. It happened MULTIPLE times to different clients. Some clients were mixed race and teenagers and you have other TEENAGER STUDENTS working on their hair saying INAPPROPRIATE things!! I am disappointed and disgusted by what I witnessed and saw. Teaching students that we are Not just heads that they are working on, but actually people is a MUST!! I am going to ask ALL the staff members to do and BE better. Please teach your students some class!!

My son and I are currently attending a Career Fair at Joliet West High School. The students that represented the Professional's Choice Hair Design school completed disregarded my son and I. I gave a compliment on the mannequin's hair design. The female student flip her hair amd turned around and none of the other students spoke. My son and I just walked away.

My 3-year-old daughter and I had a wonderful time at the salon today for haircuts. Everyone was super friendly and professional. It was a great experience for my little one since she’s still young, and Morgan did an amazing job on her haircut. Aileen also did a fantastic job on my hair, and I’ll definitely be going back!

Absolutely awful I’m laughing in order not to emotionally crack, I wanted highlights and I left with orange highlights and the line is so noticeable from my roots, I literally just wasted 100 and 5 hours. This is awful I look like straw head
