Our group of 28 enjoyed the tour of Asia Town with our knowledgeable guides. The tour of the temple was particularly enlightening - especially the fun opportunity to ask questions of the gods and the red hong bao’s! And lunch was delicious with so many different dim sum dishes to try. Cathy was easy to communicate with and organise all the details. We look forward to organising another group tour with Houston Asia Town tours in the near future. Xie xie!
We love Asiatown Tours! My students and I were awarded a tour to Asia Town with Asiatown Tours as our guide. This was one of the best experiences. Ms. Podell, our guide was knowledge, friendly and fun. My students and I learned so much about the customs, rituals, and traditions. Our family style Dim Sum lunch was delicious as was the boba tea. We were able to try foods we had not had before and loved it all. It was such an incredible experience I am hoping to take future classes on this tour. I also would recommend taking this tour with a group of friends. It is money well spent and you won't regret it. You can't go wrong with Asiatown Tours!
Thank you Cathy for a wonderful Asiatown Summer Foodie Tour! We had such a good time! Loved the people, foods, guides, sights and sounds. We loved having a guide who cooks giving us the grocery tour! Also really enjoyed the Bingsu-Korean shave ice with fruit! See you soon for the Filipino town tour!
My husband and I invited two friends to join us for the Lunar New Year tour, and it was FABULOUS! We tried so many interesting and delicious foods at the dim sum restaurant - love those buns with meat and sweet stuff - and met some great people along the way. Then we went to H-Mart and ended up at the mochi-donut shop, one of my all time favorite treats. Cathy and her team did a fabulous job from start to finish and also taught us fun facts about New Year celebrations. It was such a great way to launch the Year of the Horse!!
The whole experience was positive, but I especially appreciated the dancers and the gentleman who sang. The dancers were so appealing because they truly radiated a love for their cultural heritage. The food was delicious and plentiful. The tour was well presented and a perfect pace for our group. The Philippine tour was a beautiful blend of cultures and exhibited why we should all be proud to be Americans.
We had an amazing time. The Houston Asiatown tours is a great way to learn about Asia and its many cultures. The temple was very interesting. The cuisine at the Ocean Palace was delicious and plentiful. Thanks to our wonderful tour guide Kathy who went above and beyond to make sure we were having a wonderful time. Thanks again from the Kingwood Women's Club.
The tour was a great experience for my students. It made them understand and appreciate culture and diversity in the Asian community. I highly recommend it. Those students that didn’t get to go are now yearning to go. Thank you all for the experience.
