Mr. Parker is an amazing teacher. Being a woman in an HVAC class hasn’t been the easiest thing. But Mr. Parker offered his support and knowledge thru the entire course. I’m due to graduate in approximately 4 months, and I am very confident that I will get the job I have always wanted in the Heating and Air Conditioning field. I am so extremely grateful and very pleased with my instructor, Mr. Parker, as well as the program that UEI has to offer. I am so excited to graduate and get busy using the skills that I have obtained during this last year. With sincere appreciation and thanks.
Don't make contact with this place! The negative reviews are real! They are very money hungry and borderline predatory! A blantant scam. I once called them to schedule an appointment but learn how scammy this place is. Now I won't stop receiving spam calls from UEI! And the sketchy part is they don't really retain your information like highschool status and address but they save your number to spam call you! Very desperate and predatory.
I had a very bad experience coming here. I came here because I'm living paycheck to paycheck. And felt going to school was worth a try. I was in the automotive class and it was the biggest mistake of my life. I went so I can learn how to work on cars for a living but instead ended up car less. 😢 I dropped out after two months because I didn't receive the hands on training my recruiter guy said I was gonna get. Because we didn't get much since there was no cars to learn off. They want you to pay to learn off your own car I guess. Im not saying any names because I don't want anyone to get fired. After dropping out they took 3100 from me. I felt scammed because we did nothing in class most of the time and when we did it was lackluster. Someone reach out to me if you can help me get my money back . Because I'm now living paycheck to paycheck and 3100 in the hole . I want cry about to be honest. I was better off never coming here. I felt I wasn't gonna be ready for the workforce coming here. So school was a waste of time. Someone please make things right. I was mislead and scammed in my opinion. Sorry If I offended anyone but I couldn't bottle up the negative experience and feelings.
This place is terrible I went for automotive I would say about 4 years ago and wasted time and money just to learn nothing. My instructor taught me nothing while I was there. Only good thing that came out of it was getting help finding a job, barely getting paid above minimum at the start. I actually learned more at the dealership than I did at school. It was stupid on my end for staying those 9 months. Now i get to pay for that stupidity though debt, just barely going to finish paying HALF my debt by the end of the year. Do not go here if you want to learn a trade.
I love UEI Gardena and especially my teacher Mrs. Garcia. I’m taking medical assisting and I have classes on Monday and Wednesday from 10am to 2pm. My teacher is very supportive and always makes sure we’re on track and knows how to make class fun!
Unhappy Graduate Disappointed With UEI Gardena First of all. Any 5 star reviews are by staff. I've been there when they ask staff to leave a review as a student. I graduated from UEI College in Gardenab 2 months ago and I still haven't been connected with a job that pays above minimum wage, and I have to say, I'm extremely disappointed with the overall experience. For a program that costs anywhere from $15,000 to $30,000, I expected much better quality from the staff, to the services, to the actual education.First off, the staff was often unhelpful and hard to reach when I needed support. The communication was poor, and it felt like once they had your enrollment paperwork, you were on your own. The financial aid office was especially frustrating to deal with they lacked transparency and professionalism, and it always felt like I was getting the runaround when I asked basic questions about my loans or payments.Worse, if I was even a day late on something an assignment, a payment, or attendance I was often threatened with being dropped from the program or worse. There was no compassion, no flexibility, and no real support to help students succeed. It felt more like a business than a school. On top of that, the curriculum and tools were completely outdated. The resume builder looked like something from 2005, and many of the programs we were required to use were old, glitchy, and not relevant to today's job market. For the price we're paying, you'd expect UEI to invest in modern resources that actually help students build a future.Overall, I do not feel this school delivered on what it promised. If you're considering UEI Gardena, I strongly recommend doing your research and looking into more reputable and up-to-date options before committing your time and money. I graduated 2 months ago and it's impossible to get a job. All the jobs that you are sent from public knowledge from indeed, on top of that they are all minimum wage jobs.
I’m not sure if I’ve left a review yet of the School but I feel like I have to even if I did I’m giving this review as a welding student so take that with a grain of salt. I’m also a veteran so I used my benefits instead of paying out of my own pocket. With that being said, I will say it was probably the biggest waste of time ever, even considering my benefits that covered for the finances for going to school here you don’t Welding program with any sort Or degrees or anything like that and not to mention most of the welding equipment is broken anyway so the six months that you’re here you might be welding for only 3 to 4 months max. The instructors from what I hear are Completely unfair however I had Mr. Martinez, which is by far the best instructor that they have in the school for the welding program so if you get Mr. Martinez, do not quit switch schedules. That being said there’s also always a shortage of welding supplies so sometimes you’re just sitting around looking for something to do wondering when you’ll be able to weld as if you’re not already paying $20,000 plus to go to the school. I went to UTI for their automotive program and although I do think that School over charges as well, I would say it probably be a better idea to go there for their welding program since they have better instructors better equipment, newer equipment, and they always have plenty of resources and materials to use.
