⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My son has been training at Iron Fist Chinese Martial Arts for the past four years, and I can’t say enough about the positive impact it has had on his life. His confidence, perseverance, discipline, and overall development have grown tremendously through his time here. The instructors are incredibly dedicated and have become true mentors—not just in martial arts, but in life. They emphasize the importance of school, respect for others, and personal responsibility. When students are being considered for a sash promotion, they must get a form filled out by both their school teachers and parents—something I deeply appreciate as a parent. Training at Iron Fist is both well-rounded and rigorous. The students work on forms, strength, flexibility, and sparring, developing both physical skill and mental focus. My son has made lasting friendships and connections in this supportive, tight-knit community, and he’s had the incredible opportunity to compete in both local and international tournaments. I have been apart of Iron Fist Chinese Martial Arts for most of my life when Master Joe Dunphy was the head instructor and it was named something else. When I had l to leave because of a car accident, I would come and visit to see how the school was and Master Joe Dunphy would always tell me to come back home. And 5 years before he passed away I did come back and I so glad I did. You will find this school to be the best place to grow as a person, meet new people who will always cheer you on to do your best and lose weight if you need it when you come in tired you go out ready to take world by the ropes. I am 41 years old I am now a Black sash instructor and going to tournaments every year meeting new people and now apart of the Leadership team. My 6 yr old daughter started at US Martial Arts about 1 year ago and it has been the best experience for her. Using a mix of playful interaction and discipline at a level that can be understood by a child, Master Joe and his extremely patient staff has been able to teach her the fundamentals of Kung Fu, some self-defense moves, and helped her self-esteem. She excitedly looks forward to every Tuesday's class. I recommend US Martial Arts for all kids of all ages.

It's worth the time and effort to learn and practice tai chi forms with Iron Fist staff. Shifu Rich Benassi is an excellent instructor. Patient, of course, dedicate and skilled.

I can't recommend this martial arts school highly enough. The instruction there is excellent and the classes are highly enjoyable. The school is located in a beautiful, brand new facility with spacious, fully-equipped rooms for both self-defense and fitness. They offer a wide range of classes for all ages and levels -- external martial arts like x-treme fitness kickboxing, lei tai (Chinese kickboxing), children's karate, kung fu, Chinese jiu-jitsu, and Chinese self-defense as well as internal martial arts like qi-gong, sun-pin, meditation, and authentic Chinese t'ai chi ch'uan. Notably, they are the ONLY school in Montgomery County that has a certified Lei Tai World Champion teaching lei tai classes. Master Joe is completely invested in the development of his students to reach their full potential. Not only is he a phenomenal teacher and mentor, but he spends a great deal of time helping his students on an individual basis, providing an uplifting, supportive, safe, & constructive environment in which to learn. He's created a genuine sense of community and moral integrity within the school as a whole, and you can see that he truly cares about his students. Not surprisingly, the martial artists at his school follow his example: I found them to be just as warm and welcoming, encouraging, and invested in other students' well-being and development. Even before I became a USMAF student, they made me feel like I was already a part of their school.
