Our family has had fabulous experiences at Cedarville over the past ~14 months. We have a child in the 3s class and an infant. My children are happy at drop off and at pick up my older child is always excited to tell me about her day. They are always doing new enriching activities and learning about magical creatures and different cultures. Most importantly, I feel that my children are not only well cared for while we are at work, but that THEY ARE LOVED at this school. We have built fantastic relationships with the teachers and staff and truly feel that Cedarville is part of our village.

Two of my children had a wonderful experience attending Cedarville during their preschool years. The schedule includes a wide range of engaging activities, like nature, gardening, yoga, Spanish, world cultures, and early literacy. The playground is amazing, with so many opportunities for open ended play. My son’s favorite was the mud kitchen, and he still talks about making fairy soup. The director (Debby) is a huge advocate of early literacy, and this is reflected throughout the curriculum. Both of my children left Cedarville with detailed knowledge of letters and phonics, and were ready to read when they started kindergarten. There is a massive collection of children’s books that cycle through the classrooms. Other things you might be looking for are kind and caring teachers, a cozy environment, opportunities for parent involvement, and programs for families (like the fall pumpkin patch and winter lights by night event). You’ll find all of this at Cedarville!

We feel grateful everyday that we found a community as nurturing and caring as Cedarville! Our child has grown so much with the staff, loves the nature based curriculum, and we know our child is in safe hands. The facilities and described schedule at some early childhood school options we toured in our search had me in tears. I thought, ‘how can I leave my child somewhere like this all day?’ Cedarville was like a beautiful little light that made me feel like this transition could be possible. I have learned so much about navigating milestones from their very patient educators, and have even made some friends in the staff and fellow families through the many programs and events they host. I recommend Cedarville to anyone who is looking for a place where their child can grow at their pace, enjoy the world around them, and feel a sense of belonging in the community.

I don't usually write reviews, but I LOVE this school. Both of my children have attended and I feel so good about the quality of care the school provides. The kids do so many fun activities: crafts, playing outside in the large and shady yard, yoga, Spanish classes, cooking, water days, and more! The teachers put a lot of thought and effort into the curriculum and I appreciate that there is such a great emphasis placed on developing emotional intelligence; particularly being gentle and caring with self, others, and the world as a whole. There's a really good vibe here: the environment is filled with well-organized and fun activities and decor, the teachers and staff are incredibly patient and loving, and the school even makes significant effort to give back to the community with donations to organizations like Peaceful Paths and the Ronald McDonald House.

We love Cedarville! We are new to Gainesville and they have been not only wonderful carers for our daughter, they’ve also been really helpful in getting to know the area. They’re so kind and compassionate with the kids. If someone needs extra cuddles one day, then they get them! They appreciate and encourage each child’s individuality. They’re really communicative and collaborative with parents. They also have lots of social and charity events and really live up to the "community" in their name.

We love Cedarville so much! Our son began there as an infant and is now in the 2s class. The school is such a warm and friendly environment, and the teachers truly care about the kids. Our son thrives at Cedarville!

My son only attended Cedarville for a month before we had to take him out. We were so excited for him to be there and loved the idea of the outdoor play based curriculum. However, my wife witnessed one of the teachers yank my son by the back of the shirt. When she brought it to the director, her concerns were brushed off. It wasn’t until my wife sent an email requesting follow up information that the director investigated the situation. The teacher of course denied the allegation and another teacher (who was faced away from the teacher at the time of the incident) backed her up. What bothers me most is that the director told us she doesn’t need cameras because parents can drop by at any time but she doesn’t believe what my wife saw. If she had cameras, she could easily see the mistreatment of our son. My wife is an educator and I am a veteran. We pride ourselves on our dedication to the community and our integrity. We couldn’t keep our son at a facility that has teachers that lie about what occurs and a director that doesn’t take parent concerns seriously.
