BAMBUU Asian Eatery Gainesville

I drove past this place on another visit to Gainesville and made a mental note to give it a try. Tonight I was back through General Tso's chicken is my favorite Chinese-American dish. My Chinese friends remind this isn't really Chinese, but it is my favorite thing to order from any Chinese restaurant. I have been on quite a drought of finding one I enjoyed. Have completely struck out in my local area. Bambuu had one of the best I have had in years. The chicken quantity was generous. The lo mein noodles were generous. I was very pleased. I was also impressed with the number of options they had to choose from. So what ever you're preferred fast Asian protein they had it and it looked great. Staff were very friendly and they had a great combo meal special. Very happy with the stop and to have finally had a good General Tso's Chicken!

Good Asian eatery next to panda. I was mostly intrigued by their bourbon chicken (my favorite that most places never have anymore!). They had gluten free options like rice and veggies and non breaded chicken, which was nice. The bowls were huge, i couldn’t eat it all and wish I would have gotten one choice of meat and base instead of 2 each! Service was fast and friendly. Bourbon chicken was 10/10!

July 2025 I like the flavor and variety. The mushrooms (additional charge) are my favorite on the menu. They have a lunch special that includes a soft drink, but be careful because if one of the Asian girls sees you speaking Spanish, she'll give you a partial meal (no cutlery and a soft drink, which is included in the deal), so avoid speaking Spanish in front of them. A little expensive. $14.00 lunch deal.

Free samples available - and more types of entrees - much better thb Panda Express (which is right next door). Limited seating inside. And little parking = 3 spots (altho nearby parking lots will have space). Chicken was warm instead of hot, but still tasty. How we, food is pretty salty. Place just opened and manager there is trying and checking on tables - so decent service. Place is also clean and nice atmosphere - just small on tables. Might eat again and definitely better than Panda Express

Went to the soft opening and all of the staff here are extremely friendly and welcoming! The bourbon chicken is really tasty and their teriyaki mushroom is also really flavorful and thankfully not soggy 🙏 My friend had the Korean chicken bites and she said they were very good and not super spicy. The food does not feel too greasy and I will always pick this place over Panda Express since it’s the same price.

Wow! Ordered the bourbon and teriyaki chicken with rice and lo mein noodles and it was absolutely delicious! Very flavorful! Not overpowering! Not too salty either! Those egg rolls were delicious too! You definitely have to try their sauces! I ordered delivery lol and I love the fact that everything came as ordered! Very nice portions! I will definitely be trying other things on the menu and you should too! I took some pictures and a little video check them out 🙂

I’ve been here a handful of times since they’ve opened and the food is always fresh and flavorful. Portions are a little small but not a big deal to me considering how good the flavor is. I’d say it’s worth what you pay..I get a 4 bowl and a drink & it’s around $14 after tax..pretty average prices compared to other places around town
