Centre Music House

Centre Music House feels like a true community hub. It is a throwback in the best way: friendly, people-focused, and welcoming to musicians of every skill level. We started private lessons here in August with Lisa. She is a fantastic instructor. She’s patient and deeply attuned to her students. She has helped my daughter develop real skill and, more importantly, a love for playing. I can literally hear her celebrating my daughter’s successful attempt of a new piece from outside the studio as I type. If you are looking for a place that cares about the musician as much as the music, this is it.

I had a tragic accident with my Martin guitar in Israel. It fell and was badly damaged. The luthier at Center Music House brought it back to life. Excellent work. Thank you.

I'd give these folks six stars if I could. I moved to Mass from Fla a while back. I didn't mind leaving Florida, but hated to leave behind the repair guy I had come to trust. But I had a Fender resonator that had suffered a bit from the move, my wife's mandolin needed some tweaking, and I had bought a vintage lap steel that needed some attention to its electronics. I took them there, and I was amazed. First off, really nice folks and a nice shop with a cool inventory of instruments. It's a community-oriented, independent, family business, with a super friendly staff. The repairs were done really well, faster than I expected, and very fair rates. I'll be back, and I encourage everyone to give them a try.

Centre Music House is a MetroWest gem offering a multitude of music-oriented services to the community. The offerings range from music lessons to instrument rentals and sales to showcases and open mic events and, of course, music lessons. The CMH owners, staff and teachers are friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and supportive in a way that makes you feel connected. The teachers are amazing. Their teaching styles and personalities are well-grounded and flexible, making it easy to choose an instructor who works well with you or your child's learning style, especially if you or your child have learning challenges. CMH also buys and sells instruments. Our family has purchased trumpets, a sax, and a banjo from CMH. Also, over the years, we have had trumpets, guitars and a violin serviced/repaired at CMH. Our children have taken lessons at CMH for a decade. CMH is more than a community cornerstone, they are a part of our extended family.

Being a student of Centre Music was life changing, and I mean that literally. I was a student from 2002-2012 on two different instruments and this place made me love music so much, it became my career. Even after I stopped taking lessons, I continue to bring instruments to them for repairs. The teachers have such a deep passion for music, it makes it easy to learn from them. The staff are knowledgable and friendly about instruments and music. In the last several years, they’ve added super cool programs like summer camps and events. Centre Music holds such a special place in my heart and I hope to someday bring my own kids here for lessons! I would recommend it a million times over.

Centre Music House is a wonderful music school and shop. It's a rare local, family business, and it's everything I could hope for for my family. My kids have taken lessons in piano, guitar, and voice, and their teachers have been wonderful. We've rented instruments for school band, we've had a flute repaired, a guitar tuned up. My son attended the incredible Rock Band Adventure camp. Communication, service, friendliness, community -- all hallmarks of CMH. Max and the team are the best around!

Centre Music House in Framingham is a true gem! It’s not a chain —it has a warm and a community-centered vibe. The owners, Corbit, Max, and their team — including the warm and friendly Jacinta are truly personable, welcoming, and supportive. I take voice lessons with Sondra Kelly, and I can’t say enough good things about her. She’s incredibly positive, down-to-earth, and brings a ton of experience, having sung with big-name artists—but you’d never know it by how humble and encouraging she is. You can tell she loves teaching! Everyone I’ve talked to who’s worked with her says the same—she’s truly one of the best. I had a trial guitar lesson with Ryan, and he was personable and explained things in a way that made sense for a beginner. One of the things I love most is how much Centre Music House focuses on building community. They host student showcases at ATAC, and the open mic I participated in had such a supportive and welcoming crowd, it helped ease my performance anxiety. The staff really go out of their way to create a fun, encouraging space for everyone to grow. I’m sure there’s even more they do in the community that I haven’t experienced yet, but everything I’ve taken part in so far has been great. If you’re looking to grow musically in a friendly, inspiring environment—this is the place.
