The fort wayne admission team suck big time, they are so lazy at doing their job, i am not impressed with level of professionalism, Gabriellea Hernandez need to do her job. Firstly, i was sent a wrong address to send my transcripts, i had do Google search for the correct address, then email them to confirm the address, i was told that i was correct, my transcripts finally got delivered on 12/22/25 at the school mailbox, nobody at the admission office is willing to go trace my transcripts at the mailbox just pure laziness.. today is 5/1/2026

False Advertising In shopping and selecting among the many IU options, there is no indication that IU Fort Wayne is anything but a normal IU campus. You google it or look it up on a map, and it shows up as a campus. What reason is there to think that it’s anything but, especially when IUPUI and others are advertised as joint? You don’t visit the campus ahead of time because what reason is there to doubt? You live several hours away, and you’re going to this school for the graduate program, you're not looking for the whole so-called "college experience" here. You and your spouse uproot your whole lives for this and move to Fort Wayne, and that's your own mistake. You gave yourself a year, it was grace so that you’d have time to complete the move, settle in, and have some savings before taking the pay cut that comes with grad school. Fall rolls around, you take a day off to stop by the campus, familiarize yourself with the terrain, dream about what’s to come, and meet some of the Social Work faculty. They aren’t hosting information sessions this year, and won’t respond to your emails either, but those aren’t red flags – they’re just busy. You pull up your google maps to the IU Fort Wayne campus. Imagine your horror when not only is the IU Fort Wayne campus actually the PU campus, but your entire IU MSW program is a single room, with offices only for the BS and MSW directors, stuffed in an IU hallway on the bottom floor of some random building. Imagine your devastation when the most genuine, competent person in that space is the office manager. The BS director is some sneering, condescending church-goer, and the MSW director – who they finally put you in touch with after you stop in – is same the kind of self-absorbed, garrulous, superficially virtue-signaling wind-bag and charlatan as the academic advisor who you had the displeasure of being assigned to in your original (and quickly abandoned) undergraduate major. You came here for professionals, for systems theory, for interagency connections, for community work, for genuinely multicultural perspectives and work – not for ostentatious display, not for white people talking about how accepting they are, and not for a domineering smile that takes up by talking about herself all of the precious time you have with her, never even giving you the chance to ask the questions that you so desperately need answered. And although you confirmed with your prospective department your move from the deferred to the enrolled list, which was the only reason that the MSW director spoke with you, and even though she promised that you’d be hearing from the department with next steps in a couple of months, the next school year rolled around about nine months later without you having heard a peep. If you’d been counting on attending, you would have been totally left out to dry without a single correspondence, without a single reason as to why. It's almost fortunate that they weren't interested in helping you afford this education, so you were already uninterested. According to the pamphlet given to you by the office manager, the student fees alone run between $6k-$10k annually. He gave you a link and contact to reach out to about pricing and aid – the link doesn’t work, and the contact curtly tells you to talk to your department. There are no admin offices to casually visit and ask questions at, you’d have to go to Indy for any little or significant thing. Because its not an IU campus, you have none of the assistantship opportunities that you'd been counting on. You peruse the internet for scholarships for your field; your LGBTQIA+ statuses get you nowhere, and there’s certainly nothing merit-based. You reach out to the financial aid department, and they’re willing to schedule you a fifteen-minute phone session. By the time your appointment rolls around a month later, you’re so disillusioned with the whole prospect that you email and cancel. She tries anyways and follows up with a curt email. Why wasn’t she checking your case file or correspondence prior to meeting with you?

The nursing students here solely discovered that naked-eye vision is health.
