Nori School Kids of Fairfax

My toddlers started at Nori KidsCare when they were 1.5 and 2.5 years old after coming from another daycare where they were getting sick with HFM often. One of the things I immediately appreciated was the small class size. Susan, the teacher and director, had about 12 kids in her preschool class, which felt perfect for little ones who are still delicate and adjusting. Susan keeps the space very clean and organized, and honestly she even inspired me as a mom to be more organized — the Korean way! She does wonderful activities with the children, including cooking classes in the classroom, which the kids absolutely love. She is also very communicative and will text parents if any small issue comes up. Birthdays are celebrated in such a special way that I never felt the need to rent a party room elsewhere. Susan truly has a kind heart and cares deeply about the children. My kids even learned some Korean and discovered foods like seaweed and other dishes I probably wouldn’t have introduced on my own. She also organizes fun events like summer pool parties for the kids. Sadly, we had to move and say goodbye to Susan and the friends my children made there, which was very hard for us. Her hours are 9am–5pm, which may be a little limited for some families, but she is very understanding and will try her best to work with your situation. Overall, we are very grateful for the love and care our children received at Nori KidsCare.

We highly recommend Nori School! Our child attended for about a year, and we had a wonderful experience. One of the things we appreciated most was the flexibility with pickup times. Unlike many daycare centers that are very strict about schedules, Nori School was very understanding and accommodating, which was incredibly helpful for us as working parents. They also provide lunch and snacks every day, and we always felt confident that our child was getting healthy and nutritious meals. The menu included a mix of American and Korean foods that were well balanced and kid-friendly. The teachers do a great job helping children learn important basics like English, Korean, and numbers, which really helped prepare our child for starting school. Most importantly, the teachers are incredibly caring, dedicated, and truly love the children. We have experienced other daycare centers before, but none showed the same level of warmth and passion. We also loved the multicultural environment. Children from different backgrounds (including the U.S., Korea, Vietnam, the U.K., and France) learn and play together, which made it a very special experience. Our child is now starting school, so we had to say goodbye, but we are very grateful for the wonderful year at Nori School and hope the school continues to grow and thrive!

Avoid this place like the plague. The owner/teachers are not caring at all. They don’t treat the children with love or kindness because they think teachers should be feared. They yell at the kids and just instills fearmongering to settle them down. Are we in a boot camp or something?? They also cheap out on everything and feed your kids crap. I heard from someone that the owner is going to start another daycare in Maryland.. gosh I hope she doesn’t. It’s honestly so disheartening to see these types of daycares being around and in business because of how these kids will turn out. Be weary of who you surround your kids with because some people don’t have the best intentions. Don’t be fooled by pictures they take because those can be deceiving!!
