JK Martial Arts & Learning Center

We have been attending JK Martial Arts Everett since 2023, and both my son and I are enrolled in the Taekwondo classes. It has been a great experience for our family, and we truly enjoy every class. The environment is friendly, respectful, and very welcoming for beginners as well as experienced students. Mr. Kim has excellent experience and knowledge in Taekwondo. He is patient, disciplined, and very encouraging, especially with kids. We have seen a lot of positive improvement in confidence, focus, discipline, and physical fitness, especially for my son. The classes are well-organized and balanced with technique, exercise, and motivation. We really like the teaching style and the positive atmosphere of the school. We are very happy with our decision to join JK Martial Arts Everett and would highly recommend it to families and anyone interested in learning Taekwondo.

Who the hell even likes this place? During belt testing, you can never fail as you just pay Master Kim to pass. And don’t even get me started on that demo team master. He’s not helping, he’s hurting. Putting down kids feelings when they do just one thing wrong even though they are trying their best, and being so OCD about the stupidest things ever, like nails being 1 mm too long. He also jokingly hits kids on the head with kicking paddles, keep in mind thousands of kids feet have been on them, and even when asked to stop he ignores it. This place is just a cash grab where they teach you one complex thing for one class session then expect you to remember it later. It’s dumb, I do NOT recommend going here.

I have been a student since 2018 and loved it ever since. If you want to learn from the best, This is your place! The masters here are all are active professionals in the sport and like family. I am proud to be a student and an instructor for this school. I highly recommend to join!

My children very much enjoy learning from National Champion, Master Kim. He is so good at teaching at all belt levels and ages. The lessons are a great mix of mental and physical activities with fun games sprinkled in occasionally. The dojo incorporates seasonal activities to help bring the community together. They do offer group discounts for multiple children. The price is a great value.

My daughter has been going to JK martial arts since last 3 years and is a second degree black belt now. Master Kim and his staff has helped my daughter a lot in terms of self defense, fitness and confidence building. She has learnt a lot about volunteering and helping out recently with her belt seniority. I would highly recommend this institute to everyone. Thanks, Ankur

My daughter has been going to JK Martial Arts for 2.5 years now. She has had such an amazing experience and has gone through incredible growth physically and mentally. She is more confident and loves going to class. Master Kim, Master Cho, Master Murray and all the instructors are kind, push people to do their best, and are excellent! I highly recommend them for all ages to learn taekwondo.

Go here only if you like to work with clueless people. They scheduled a trial class for my son and also sent a reminder to come. When we showed up, there was no front desk to talk to. I roamed around for couple minutes to find someone and eventually entered in hall where multiple classes were going on. When I talked to teacher/coach about the trial class, they said they don’t do anything like that and we must have got it wrong. Wasted my 30 mins going here. Don’t recommend to anyone. Such mismanagement and incompetence.
