Japanese Cultural Resource Center (formerly: Nippon Business Institute) & Nishiyama Japanese Garden

Beautiful peaceful garden. The waterfall isn't working currently, but they are working on getting it repaired. Well worth the trip. The cultural center has a soothing tea room, and a model of the Iwakuni city bridge the wood one in the garden was made from, among other pieces. Thank you Mayumi for the tour, information, and showing me the details. I loved it.

I was finally able to visit today, its a beautiful garden! There is also a tea room and small museum/cultural center inside. If you love gardening they're always looking for volunteers!

The garden is very small, but extremely beautiful and well-maintained! I am glad that it is open to the public for free. It is truly a hidden gem.

I have taken Japanese language classes, tea lessons, and joined a club here. My time at the NBI has been one of the best times of my life. If you at all interested in learning the language do join EvCC and take the two years of classes. As a student enjoy the benefits of a language club, a culture cub, and a sumi-e club on campus. As a community member do walk though the garden in different seasons as it is always beautiful and in the spring and summer something is usually blooming. Heck even walking by in the spring you can enjoy the sakura blossoms.
