Sport Karate Academy

My boys started their karate journey as part of the homeschool class. My oldest didn't even want to get out on the floor the first class or 2. Since then, I have seen so much growth in both my boys. My oldest earning his Leadership belt and helping others achieve they goals while also working on his own and my youngest just had his best belt testing ever looking sharper and more crisp than I have ever seen him. I found motivation through my sons and have been taking the adult class for over a year now. It's fun, challenging and the comradery you get from other adults is awesome. We have become close with other families and are happy to have found this Dojo. Thanks Michael & Lisa! you guys Rock!

I love love love this place! My daughter has so much fun! They are very kind and I would recommend this place to anyone. It's so cool to see ur kid move up in rank and get their new color belts. They just love it.

I am a karate newbie, but have experience with jiu jitsu and boxing, so a lot of these concepts are either foreign or in ways opposite from what I have learned. However, I am humble to say I have found the karate experience extremely valuable. The instructor, Michael is a great teacher and meets you were you are whether you’re a beginner or have experience. Karate also has great principles that can aid in positive personal development, especially for kids. I cannot wait until my son is old enough to get on the mat. Karate is also a fun way to get in better shape and maximize your overall health and fitness. Highly recommend!!! Come support a great local business!

There really are a another family, I appreciate the supportive atmosphere in class. It makes learning so much easier! It was great to see Sean having fun while learning valuable self-defense skills. Thank you Micheal and Lisa. #SKA

SKA is fantastic. We enrolled our daughter so she could learn self defense, and she loves it. Not only is she learning martial arts but the interaction with the other students is like family. They also plan other activities for the kids to do outside of karate classes, like game nights and fun field trips. We love the competition tournaments and meeting new parents and kids. This is a great karate school, Michael and Lisa are the best.

Friendly, caring staff who genuinely want to help your child succeed and learn the sport and tradition of karate. Classes for children, teens and adults, as well as specialty classes and weapons classes.

My son has been a member of Evansville Sport Karate Academy for the last 6 months. Since then, he has absolutely thrived in this environment. His drive and focus has skyrocketed. He gets to learn new principles that will follow him throughout his life and he has fun while doing it. Michael (the owner) is an excellent role model, compassionate and offers gentle but firm instruction and guidance. It is truly a family affair at ESKA and we are happy and proud to be apart of this karate family. 💖
