This school is great for ages 9 and up. The teachers are great and funny but still keep my child in check. I love the middle school teacher Ms. Henyard, she always stays on my student and keeps in interested. Just have your child enrolled in Japenise. PS. I know i spelled the language wrong don't attack me.

I used to love this school when my youngeat daughter went to FLICS many years back so I decided to send my youngest here and I waa quite shocked to discover so many issues starting with the attitude of the office staff who no matter what time or day answers the doorbell with an attitude, they have had three principals in the last 4 years, they implemented a new pickup procedure whwre you have to give a code to pick your child up since they lost a child for a few hours last school year. The dismissal isn't an issue except for the parents have to stand outside no matter the weather or temperature to give a code to pick their child up. The communication is horrible because the ONLY time the principal responds is if you tag the board and I'm still trying to figure out the assistant principals job because you rarely see her unless she's forced to do some work and its always followed by an attitude. My son is a straight A student, who has NEVER had an issue with behavior but this will be his last year at this school because the disappointment is beyond repair at this point.

My daughter has been getting bullied by a little boy & the school has done nothing about it ! They refuse to change his class but offered to change my daughter class . Make that make sense when she’s not the aggressor. I’m fed up and concerned with the safety of my child . My child will not be returning to flics next school year

FLICS would be a great school for your child. I have been in FLICS for 8 years and I have learned so much. I am fluent in japanese and on the honor roll. This is a school that will prepare your child for high school or just the world in general. Your child will also get rewarded for great behavior and academics. The only downfall is there are no classes to teach us how to play instruments…I truly recommend F.L.I.C.S for your child.

Condones bullying and the children’s safety is NOT a priority! Several attempts have been made to resolve a on going act of bullying however the principals schedule doesn’t not seem to have any availability so a child is force to go to school in fear everyday.

Teachers are very disrespectful. CUSSES AT KIDS. speaking from experience. Counselors are supposed to "guide" you as they say, not the truth at all. Ms. Cameron is a HORRIBLE counselor.

my honest opinion on the school is its great. Our school is great way for student to learn new languages and get to be there selves. Teachers try to inforce rules as good as possible and are great. I personally been at the school for 8 years now and i am very comfortable with the school. i recommend spanish or chinese even though i am in french. I think french is good for kindergarten through 2nd grade and 6th-8th grade. but in 3rd and 4th grade students like to run over the french and math teacher. I believe our 4th grade french class is the most loudest and worst behaved elementary class we have.and on the negitive side we have gotten rid of our former vise principal mr.ostertag, he really was great for our school, multi tasking , interactive with students, and was a great principal over all, but our new vise principal is nice as well, we just need to get use to him hes a little shy and quiet so i don't know. For the first 3 months of school i didn't even know who he was because he stayed mainly with elementary and not with middle school. But other than that we have great traditions at our school that i think all students of all backgrounds and culutres will enjoy. our amazing gym teacher Mrs.white, and counselor puts on great assemblies all through the year on gun safety, mental health, physical health, fire safety, and many more to make sure we have an educated future and wont harm our selves and others. But you can ask any flics student about culutre blast. its the way our school ends the school year. we practice for months, weeks, days, and hours to make sure our performances are right. every year we have a 3 hour performance showing what we learned this year and our languages culutre. pre-k through 8th grade perform and celebrte the end of the school year. We ahve music blasted, dancing, eating, and so much fun. This is why ny student would love and dislike flics!
