This is a place i frequently go to. The staff is amazing and always here to help. If you get lost stop and ask someone where your going and they will guide you. They could have addresses to all the buildings that would be a tremendous help. Until then it's really not that hard to get it figured out. Amazing school and amazing venues as well.

Great for graduation, but the Career Guidance Department doesn’t really help with finding a job. They invite companies that don’t sponsor visas or aren’t hiring at all. They also don’t seem to have strong placement connections like other universities do. Whenever you ask them for support, they just say they don’t know anyone. Honestly, it feels like I wasted my time. I didn’t get a job, not even an internship. Even on-campus jobs were very limited, and most of those went to undergrads only.

Posting here because the wright state police took down reviews on their google page. Do not send your kids here, the police don’t take sexual assault seriously. Will lie to the victims about needing to scan their phones to get a warrant for the predators phone & lose your test kit. Whole department needs to be investigated by the state and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. It won’t happen but it should.

WSU is a great university to pursue your degree. But, move-in 2025 was not a smooth process like it has been in the past!😵‍💫 Those in charge of move-in need to go back to the drawing board & regroup with a much better plan!

I reached out to the alumni relations department multiple times over several weeks, leaving messages with various staff members, but received no acknowledgment or response. I was attempting to offer event sponsorship for an upcoming golf outing, following instructions from my manager—an alumnus of the university—who wished to make a donation in support of the event. Eventually, I managed to reconnect with the receptionist, who informed me—rather bluntly—that my messages had been received, but that no one intended to return my call. I was genuinely shocked by the lack of professionalism and basic courtesy, especially given that this was a potential sponsorship opportunity initiated by a committed alumnus. This experience has left me extremely disappointed. If this is how the university treats its alumni and those seeking to support its initiatives, I would strongly urge prospective students to consider other institutions that demonstrate a stronger commitment to community engagement and follow-through.

I would advise searching all other options of colleges before choosing WSU. They make it appear great but then the fees start sky rocketing on you. Staff certainly isn't the greatest & 1 in medical works elsewhere & documents things from appointments that never even happened. Yes he's on the staff there too. Campus police are the worst & sadly one female one in hopes to make a name for herself IOHO needs to be fired. When she charges you with one thing & it's unjust she'll actually change the charge, insanity at it's finest. They are not there to serve & protect the students whatsoever. They are there to ticket, ticket, ticket, even over the most silliest things & "unjust" ones. Maintenance is awful & lucky if things get fixed. With the cost how can the university find that acceptable? Do not use their mental health services. They will change your medication without informing student to "stop taking' the one they are using which leads to disastrous outcome. They appear to be family friendly but are far from family friendly. College is a huge big step for students & WSU is one from experience that should be avoided IOHO.

I graduated from WSU in 1990 with a BS in Computer Engineering (CEG). For me, it was a very tough degree and actually took 5+ years to complete. I then had stints at three major employers (MacB, L-3 Comm, and DRS) in the Beavercreek area. I retired in 2021. I am still very comfortably retired in 2025. I have always thought that regardless of the university you attend, you only get out of it what you put into it. I believe my WSU BS degree with my level of effort of study was proportional to the full-time work I performed and the salary I earned. It was all definitely enough to have a comfortable retirement. I loved WSU. I would recommend WSU to anyone. But you have to work hard to get anything out of college and professional employment.
