David Posnack Jewish Day School

Don't bother applying if you're a shiksa mom. My husband is Jewish and friends had confirmed from personal experience that only one parent has to be Jewish to qualify for this school, so I submitted an application (a virtual dog and pony show, asking for pictures of the family, $240 fee, etc.) for my son. My husband missed a call from the school days later. They then called me and said they can't accept our application because I (mom) am not Jewish. Nowhere on the near-20-part application nor on their website did it say this was a requirement. At a time when most of the Jewish community believes in patrilineality, this stance is unfortunate. It is also inconsistent with what currently enrolled families have benefitted from. And with antisemitism sadly being so common, why not embrace the Jewish community instead of pushing them away? That is a separate conversation. At the very least, this school should be transparent and consistent in its decisions. For those wondering, they did refund my application fee, but it took them almost a month to do so. And they emailed my husband about it. Not me -- the shiksa mom who actually picked up the phone and applied.

Great facility with a full gym just updated, tennis, pickleball, on-site catering and auditorium, plenty of activities, basketball courts, preschool, swimming pools, and events.

Sending my son to this school was the best decision I have ever made. There is no better thing as a parent to hear then have a child say he loves his school. Not only that but he enjoys studying and doing his homework with the technology used, which has led to great grades.

Very happy with posnack. Our three children go there and have all thrived in academics and Zionism.

have two kids in this school and couldn't be happier. Education, sports, Torah, and music with arts. They and my wife and I love it.
