Pimsleur Language Programs

Very dishonest and kept charging me for MONTHS after cancelling my subscription. The actual resource was not bad, but their subscription model is so dishonest. You can't cancel it through the app. You have to log onto the website and navigate through many pages to get to the cancellation button.

Content is good but the password torment is very bad. The IT department decides to randomly make you sign in though you’ve been doing your lessons on a regular basis, now for 6 months. Then their password rules require exactly what they list, though they only say "must include.". So I just finished with the punishing and thoughtless 15 minute process of a new password.

Pimsleur refuses to accommodate the hearing impaired by not adding captioning to the language lessons. This concern has been brought up in the App Store comments - more than once by me - and from my understanding by many others - but nothing has been done.

They will do all they can to rip you off. Then when you bring it to their attention they dismiss you and say there is nothing they can do. What type of business is this? They have no interest in helping out their paying customers

Total ripoff!!! I cancelled their course after the 7 day trial! I received no further lessons but they continued to bill me for months. When I complained they claimed I should have called them to cancel instead of cancelling on their app. even though I never received any further lessons beyond the initial 7 days trial. Dishonest!!! Ripoff

Pimsleur customer service is unhelpful, they try to trap you into subscriptions by cancelling your subscription effective immediately, and they put unexpected charges on my card. Suggest you find something else to avoid wasting time with your credit card provider and pimsleur customer service.

Never enroll in "free" trial from this company! This is a SCAM! Their free trial is designed so that you're charged without being notified - not even a simple email. This is NOT bad product design - trust me I am a Product Manager. This is SCAM. I have more! When you ask for a refund, they send their refund policy and the DETAILED LOG of when you enrolled and when you cancelled. Obviously they have invested in developing this capability, not sending a reminder email! LISTEN TO CUSTOMERS, learn some marketing 101!
