SafeKids USA/Blue Dragon Taekwondo School

I’ve been at this place since I was six years old, and I am currently about to turn 18. This place has taught me confidence and leadership skills. I have earned my black belt, and I have become versatile in teaching students who are both older and younger than me—some by as much as six years. As a black belt, it's crucial to be mindful of other students who are just starting their own journeys. Many look up to black belts, but what isn’t often discussed is the responsibility that comes with it. You need to set a good example; a black belt can't break down in tears or throw a tantrum during class. From day one, we are trained not to cry or show any type of emotion in the classroom. If you feel like crying, it’s best to go home, because this is a place where you truly learn self-control and how to manage your emotions.

Our son has been attending Blue Dragon Taekwondo for the past 3.5 years, and under the guidance of Master Marshall Hale, he has grown tremendously—not just as a martial artist but as a person. He recently earned his black belt, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the impact this school has had on his journey. Master Marshall is an incredible mentor and teacher. He instills accountability, responsibility, honor, and respect in his students, ensuring they not only learn the principles and practices of Taekwondo but also how to be good people. His expectations are high, but they come from a place of genuine care—he does not tolerate disrespect, whether toward himself or between students, and he continuously fosters a culture of discipline, integrity, and support. If you are looking for a Taekwondo school that will challenge, inspire, and uplift your child, I cannot recommend Blue Dragon Taekwondo and Master Marshall enough. This is a place where students don’t just learn to fight—they learn to lead, to serve, and to grow into people of strong character.

My son Noah has been at Blue Dragon for 2 years and is a red belt. He has grown so much and has developed so much confidence and respect for himself and others. I truly believe that every skill he has learned at Blue Dragon he will be able to use in all aspects of life. We are proud of all he has accomplished since meeting Master Marshall. Most importantly he is proud! I have and will continue to recommend this school to any one of any age!

I strongly recommend SafeKids Blue Dragon Taekwondo. Over the years, Master Marshall Hale has always believed in myself and my two kids not only in martial arts, but also personally and professionally. When Taekwondo gets hard, he never gave up on us, pushed us to be our best, stayed after class to help us all. A belt is earned, not given. He teaches real life situations and how to over come obstacles. His senior black belts such as Jason/Beth and Christina have always encouraged the best from us and always made us feel welcome, I am grateful for them all. Thank you Master Marshall for believing in us.

Martial art's has become an important part of my life. I recently got my black belt. Blue dragon taekwondo,master Marshall, and the other leaders have taught me important lessons such as: the importance of hard work, confidence, self control, self defense and sometimes that it takes getting knocked down seven times to build the character to get up eight times. Not only have I learned important lessons I've gained skills and made strong friendships. Taekwondo, especially Blue dragon, teaches the importance of being a team player and how it's equally important to stand by yourself. I've gone to tournaments and gotten just first places but they'd be nothing without the third places. Blue dragon teaches the key principles of taekwondo and builds your character, gives you a thick skin, creates friendships and strong competitors. 10/10 would recommend.

Blue Dragon TKD is a remarkable place. It has a long-standing history of excellence and is filled with excellent coaches led by Master Marshall at the helm. As a leader, he is extremely skilled, fair and values discipline. As with all martial arts, discipline is a core principle. All who train under Master Marshall will learn and grow here. But kindly understand that children (and parents) who are coachable will be successful here. Grateful athletes listen to the advice and instruction from their coaches and, when appropriate, from their fellow teammates. Children who train here will reap the benefits of being humble, teachable, respectful, resilient, relentless, and mighty. When these children grow up, they will be respectable adults, with grit and grace, prepared and able to handle anything.

My children have attended Blue Dragon for several years. Master Marshall is a wonderful leader and example for so many in the community. I appreciate the time he has spent with my sons and the valuable lessons he has taught them about martial arts, responsibility, and respect.
