US HRK Kumdo

I joined just a few months ago, so far, everything is great. I tried a few different places/martial arts and decided to stay here for my kendo learning. What I like the most about US HRK is that they strip out all the commercial fanciness and get down to the essence of the practice/art. But this does not mean the place isn't carefully designed. The details in little things such as something as simple as ceiling height, show that they know what are truly needed for a good practice environment. The instructors and higher ranks are all willing to share their knowledge and experience. Each of them has their own instructing style and focuses so you learn something from everyone. Many of the members have been practicing here for decades. This, to me, not only means a wealth of knowledge and experience, but also there must be something that keeps them continuing in this art and this school. I look forward to seeing what they see and making kendo a lifelong practice as well.

Instructors are dedicated and helpful. The place is inviting and has some high ranking instructors.

My son attends there and they are highly professional and attentive. The only downside is lack of ACs since the building is a warehouse.

The best Kumdo/Kendo Dojang/Dojo in DMV area.
