Loved this experience. There were so many pieces of Ohio embedded in the history here. I loved seeing that. Came with a local family member and it was exciting watching them light up getting to tell their stories from the exhibits here. The outside recreation of Fort Caspar is near to explore. It is nice to see a community care to preserve their history.

What a fun museum! I love how the fort is set up like it's still being used. The inside museum was very nice and informative. It was a spur of the moment stop and we are so glad we did. The gift shop is very nice too and the woman working there was so friendly.

I would recommend anyone passing through to stop and check out this really neat piece of Army history and the town's history. It was super windy when we went, but it was well worth every bit of it. Currently, they have a display of guns from the 1800s and also have Indian artifacts. Very neat history as well. It is winterized, but I was still able to get amazing pictures through the windows.

Fort Caspar Museum is a must-visit for anyone interested in Wyoming history and beyond! The museum offers a fantastic mix of engaging exhibits that cover everything from pioneer life to the Pony Express and Native American cultures. The reconstructed fort is beautifully done, allowing visitors to walk through time and imagine life on the frontier. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about sharing the area’s rich history. I especially appreciated the interactive elements that made the experience enjoyable for both adults and kids. The gift shop is also well-stocked with unique souvenirs and local crafts. Whether you’re a history buff or just looking for an interesting way to spend the afternoon, Fort Caspar Museum won’t disappoint. It’s a wonderful place to explore Wyoming’s heritage and reflect on the people and events that shaped this region. Highly recommend!

Neat historical stop. They've done a really awesome job with the fort buildings and replicas. Enjoyed walking through and seeing the different spaces and then inside learning some of the history of Wyoming as a whole. Really fascinating stuff. Worth a stop if you love American history, especially of the frontier.
