Esther's Korean Language Lab

I cannot recommend Esther Kim highly enough as a Korean teacher. When I began studying with her, I was at a low-intermediate level, but through her guidance and active teaching style I progressed to a strong high-intermediate level. Esther is a very hands-on and engaged teacher. She constantly encouraged me to use Korean in every class, creating a full immersion environment that helped me build both confidence and fluency. Beyond classroom work, she even met me in Seoul and personally taught me practical skills for daily life—navigating the bus and metro system, buying tickets, and understanding dining etiquette. Her dedication, creativity, and genuine care for her students made a real difference in my learning. I wholeheartedly endorse her to anyone looking for a teacher who goes above and beyond.

I just started my third online zoom class with Esther Kim. As a busy person, it's hard to make time and often I get overwhelmed in bigger classes. She breaks down the curriculum and pace is not to overwhelming. If you want to learn Korean as a working adult, she helps you out, has a lot of grace, and helps you stay accountable on your learning journey!

Esther is a fantastic teacher! She explains things really well, her lessons are always structured, she meets you where you are with your level and yet provides enough challenge to improve your knowledge while enjoying the classes. Studying with Esther is fun and rewarding!

I've taken both introductory Korean and Korean 1 with Esther. I was preparing for a trip to Korea and what I learned really help me while traveling. Her classes make learning easy, fun and enjoyable.
