We were so excited to visit and see - we are now members!!! Our 5 year old was instantly comfortable with Master Ho and Master George - both gave us plenty of time with demonstrations, answered so many questions we had - so friendly. A wonderful experience with the introduction class that we are now members for 3 months and hoping to continue with the Bronxville location. The place is impressive. Totally recommend this site - as a franchise In sure all sites would be the same - happy, happy with Bronxville!! Thank you Master Ho and Master George - see you on next week!

Love this place. Very well run. Master Oh and his teachers are the best mix of discipline and encouragement. Recommend trying it out for a few weeks. Lots of younger children but also some teens and adults. Bronxville location is convenient and the Dojang is large and very clean. My son loves it there.

Inspired by her enthusiasm, my wife encouraged me to join despite my initial hesitation at 52 years old. Now, three months in, I'm fully committed and can't imagine missing a class. The heart of Hong Ik is Master Oh, a true embodiment of the old-school martial arts master. His expertise extends beyond physical techniques to encompass the spiritual aspects of taekwondo. His gentle demeanor belies his immense power and skill, making him an exceptional instructor. Daniela, a rising star in the dojang, greets everyone with warmth and enthusiasm. Her presence at the front desk adds to the welcoming atmosphere that permeates the entire school. Hong Ik Martial Arts has become a second home for our family. The positive energy, dedication to tradition, and outstanding instruction have made it an invaluable part of our lives. My wife is even planning to join soon, completing our family's journey into the world of taekwondo at this remarkable school.

My daughter and husband are students of the Hong Ik Dojang and we have finally found our family. Daniela is attentive and professional. She’s super kind and knowledgeable, explaining all the necessary information for belt promotions. Master Oh is skillful as he is professional. He is bar none the best I’ve ever seen with children. Hong Ik Martial Arts is home! I had joined pretty late in high school to get some physical activity in and it became a passion. All the masters and instructors are amazing at what they do and are so friendly and welcoming while doing it. Everyone has a fun time training and gains positive values for life as they do it. You can really say that you get a good sweat at this dojang! HIMA is a big family, every student and instructors feel at home!! Recently we had our 11th annual festival welcoming all our 6 schools and schools ftom states around to participate in such a big event. Students did form and board breaks, individually or team, and sparring. It was a great showing as you can really see the big family that was built at Hong Ik! Trophies and Medals, hugs and smiles were seen all over the gym definitely showing how close knit the school is 🙂 I definitely recommend Hong Ik if you are looking for tkd training and another family!!

Master O and his staff are incredible instructors. We have been a part of Honk Ik for the past 5 years and have only great things to say. If you are looking for increased focus for your child and traditional techniques, this is the place to be!

Two of my kids attend Hong Ik martial arts. They work very hard to create a great learning environment, to be welcoming, and create community. The kids are learning more than martial arts, they are learning skills for a better life.
