From my experience, I can say Talk School is the best English school for me. The environment and location are great, the teachers are amazing, and the staff is super friendly. What really surprised me was the school director. Normally, it’s hard to talk to a director unless there’s a serious problem, but here, she’s always around and easy to talk to. That really impressed me. I’ve been studying at Talk for over a year now. I started in the English program and then moved to the PDP business program. The way teachers teach here isn’t just from a textbook — they use outside materials like YouTube, websites, and sometimes even invite guest speakers to share their experience. It makes the class really interesting and practical. Talk school is not just fun and friendly — it’s also a very academic school. My English has improved a lot, and I’ve made many friends from all over the world. Talk feels like my second home, and the teachers and students are like family. I’ve never felt regretful or that I wasted my money. Best school ever!
My English skills have improved dramatically because I’ve had many opportunities to express my thoughts in English. I’m really grateful to the teachers and friends at this school! Also, this school is located good area. There some cafe and restaurants, so you can have a good time during break time!
The administrative staff were friendly and helpful, but the Business English course(Professional Development Program) was the most disappointing class I have ever taken. I felt the teacher was not professional at all — he answered private phone calls from his son and doctor during class on multiple occasions. He only read from the textbook and showed YouTube videos almost every day instead of teaching. It was extremely boring. Some students fell asleep in class and others skipped the class altogether. Even worse, for our presentations, the teacher sent us feedback that was generated by ChatGPT. He just copied and pasted ChatGPT's answer and literally said, "I gave you the advice from ChatGPT. Was it useful?" as if that was acceptable. On another day, when a student said she wanted to improve her pronunciation, instead of giving actual advice on how to achieve that, he asked every student to rate each other’s pronunciation as either "good enough" or "needs improvement. Sometimes he was up to an hour late to class for personal reasons and left us to study on our own. One day he brought us to the library and told us to "research." We just surfed the internet while the teacher did nothing. We also spent two hours each week just watching a movie. Since the Business course was much more expensive than the General English course, I had high expectations. But the reality was a waste of time and money, and I even lost motivation to study English. Considering the amount I paid, I believe a refund would be fair. My intention is not to criticize the school, but simply to share my experience in the hope that it will help improve future students’ experiences. (This Google account does not use my real name)
The TALK school is a very fantastic experience because I see more new things in my life. It is a very big experience and a lot of speaking and listening. I have improved quickly in my English. I have joined a lot of free activities in the school. TALK is very good because they bring you everywhere to the best places in Boston. I like to study at TALK because I don't speak very well and now I understand and speak better. I am very happy with my improvement.
TALK's advantage is that I can make friends from all around the world. I not only learn English but I also learn about different cultures and share many things and hang out together. Of course it helps me to improve English as well inside of school and outside of school. I have been at TALK for 10 months and I can feel that my English improved a lot! All the teachers at TALK helped me to practice English and they are very nice to encourage me to speak English so that I became more open minded.
I have to say that i had huge expectation for this school, when i was reading the reviews it was like, its a good school, nothing more far away of the reality. Maybe in other cities is different, but in Boston was awful. I guess its very expensive and i didn't see any difference if i had studied in my country. The quality is the worst, just continue a book and that's it, i know is the cheaper school in Boston, but its better pay a little more but received a good education.
I've been at the school for a full year, and I am deeply grateful to the teachers and the principal. I've seen significant progress in my English skills, and beyond being just a school, I found a family in both the students and the staff. The school genuinely cares about its students, creating spaces for us to interact, get to know each other, learn the language more comfortably, and explore the city. I highly recommend it. I started as a beginner, and now, after a year, I am at a professional level. I have classmates and friends from around the world. Thank you, Talk School.
