Bethesda Reggio

We moved to DC about half a year ago and were recommended the school by someone we know. We took both our kids (3 and 5 ) there and we are loving it! The teachers and staff are warm, caring, and sweet with the children. My kids always say great things about them and have a great rapport with them. It’s a Spanish immersion program which for us is a huge plus. My oldest is much more comfortable talking in Spanish with me since she joined the preschool! The school’s location is something we love too: nice outdoor playground and field to explore nature and the outdoors . Cannot recommend it enough !

Our son started at Bethesda Reggio when he was 3 years old and we have had a great experience. The teachers are warm and nurturing and love the children. The surrounding park and Spanish immersion have also been a great bonus. Our son has loved going to Reggio and we know he will miss it dearly when he starts Kindergarten in a few weeks. Our almost 3 year old daughter also just started at Reggio. She already loves her teachers and is also having a great experience so far. We can’t recommend Bethesda Reggio enough.

As parents of a recent graduate I’m extremely grateful for the experience and foundation that Bethesda Reggio has instilled in our child. When visiting prospect schools it was clear after speaking with Maria how special the program and philosophy of education would be. Fast forward and our kid is fully fluent in Spanish and English and more than ready to start kindergarten this month. From the all the families and teachers involved we are so appreciative of the amount of care and work that has gone into making this chapter a rich and memorable one. Than you Bethesda Reggio!

Bethesda Reggio was our daughter’s second home from age one to five, and we could not have chosen a better place for her early years. The Spanish-immersion environment allowed her to become a confident, fluent speaker through songs, stories, and daily conversation, all woven naturally into her play and learning. The teachers are warm, patient, and truly invested in each child’s growth, fostering curiosity, independence, and kindness every single day. What sets Bethesda Reggio apart is its deep connection to nature. Rain or shine, the children explore outdoors, garden, and discover the world around them, developing both resilience and a genuine love for the environment. By the time our daughter graduated, she was not only well-prepared for kindergarten but also confident, compassionate, and eager to keep learning. We will always be grateful for the loving foundation Bethesda Reggio provided.

I am so glad we found the Bethesda Reggio. Our son has been here since we was 10 months old and we have felt he is in great hands. Most importantly, the teachers are so incredibly warm, loving, and nurturing. The park and Spanish immersion are also a huge plus. While no daycare/preschool are perfect, if you want to know that your child will be loved while also learning and growing the Reggio is a wonderful place. Also the parent community is great! We often get to know each other while playing at the park after school and are very supportive of each other when we have concerns or need help with pick up, etc.

We have been here for 3 years and both of my sons love it here. The teachers are warm and caring, and the administrative staff always responsive to our concerns. We love how the park is used to teach and integrated into the curriculum, and not just have the children run around on the playground (although they do plenty of that too!). The school provides a nice balance of play-based learning while also ensuring they have a solid academic foundation. We have been excited to see our sons constantly challenged and continually learning, and huge plus that they are both fluent in Spanish.

We have had a wonderful experience at Bethesda Reggio over the past 2+ years. Teachers are kind and loving, curriculum is inclusive and has great integration with the natural environment, and my children have become fluent in Spanish. We've been very happy with our experience at this school - highly recommend!
