LakeCreek Montessori - Chinese Immersion School

We've had both of our boys here for the past 4-5 years, now age 6 and 3.5, and it has been such a sweet special place for them. The toddler teachers including Ms. Lily and Ms Chiuyi created such a nurturing environment for the 3's and under, and Ms. Amanda and Ms. Zhang really helped the boys build confidence and emotional intelligence on top of all the other skills of independence and academics. These are truly teachers who make an impact. Ms. Natalie and Ms. Sharon at the front desk keep things humming smoothly, and Ms. Candice has been a fantastic owner, constantly looking for ways to make it an amazing experience for kids and parents. We highly, highly recommend this magical place. They have great lunches, activities and aftercare programs. My kids love art, riding balance bikes in their large shaded playscape, Groovy school bus and the field trips. We signed up primarily for their Mandarin program, and realized all additional, intangible value this school and the classrooms have provided over the years!

This is our third year at this school, our daughter has grown from a three year old toddler to an independent, confident and self- driving young lady. She just has such a love and enthusiasm on learning, super comfortable socializing with all sorts of people, very responsible and shows leadership qualities, and has great passion for others and her environment. For all of these, I know I have a lot to thank the school and her teachers for. They just created such a comfortable and supportive environment where kids are allowed to follow their own nature and passion, and where happily learning can truly happen. My daughter absolutely loves her school and adores her teachers. She considers ms.Amanda and Ms. Zhang her best friends at school and genuinely misses them when school is closed for holidays. She really enjoys now being the oldest kid in the casa program and proudly taking on all the jobs and opportunities being given by the teachers to assist and guide others. The teachers are very experienced Montessori guides with endless patience and love for the kids. You can tell Ms. Amanda and ms. Zhang really love the kids and their jobs, and they and the kids are having fun at the school too. My daughter always tells me how much work she has done and how much fun she had at the school when I pick her up:) We are a bilingual family, I speak Mandarin to my daughter at home. But she learns Chinese reading and writing with the teachers. She's almost 6 now, she reads and writes in English like a 1st grader, and reads and writes in Chinese like a 5 year old in China. I would say she is fluent in both. We do consider ourselves lucky that this school is bilingual and also authentic Montessori, which are equally important to us. We plan to enroll their elementary school program after my daughter graduates from the casa program next summer. Our experience with the school staff is very friendly and super responsive. You can communicate with them easily and quickly through messages. School has many events for parents and socializing each term as well. So if you are looking for an authentic Montessori school and would like your kid to pick up some Chinese, I would say Lakecreek is the best option in the great Austin area.

We started sending both of our kids here at 18 months, and I was nervous at first because it’s such a critical stage in a child’s life. Ms Cindy and Ms Lu quickly put our minds at ease with their incredible care, thoughtful updates, and partnership through key milestones like potty training and social development. The staff is also very attentive to feedback, and truly care about the values of the families they serve. The whole environment feels safe, positive, nurturing, and filled with joy. The school is bilingual, making Chinese and English a natural part of daily life, and offers a wide range of extracurriculars—like dance, sports, and art—that give our kids the chance to explore new interests, build skills, and grow in confidence. Being part of Lake Creek has been such a meaningful journey and a true blessing for our family. We’re deeply grateful to have found a school that supports our children’s growth in every way.

My kid used to go to LakeCreek when he was four. Ms. Pavithra and Ms. Lily has always been very detailed and attentive to our feedback/concerns.They also kept us promptly updated with school curriculum and our kid’s growth. The school provided our kid a positive and nurturing learning environment. It was a true blessing for us to be part of the LakeCreek community!

My son has been going to Lake Creek Montessori school around 2 1/2 years and we absolutely love here! They have the program started from 18 months -3 years (Toddler program), 3-6 years (Casa program), and elementary program and my son started from the toddler program and then transition to Casa program. First we were just looking for a day care that has dual languages program, but after our son attended Lake Creek Montessori, we found it's a place that not only helps the child to learn at the fantastic learning environment, it is also creates a great community to help the child to make friends and learn important social skills. The classrooms are well- organized in open shelves display with great Montessori principle materials that helps kids learn through hands on activities. Students also help cleaning the classroom regularly so they keep the environment clean as well as learning the practical life activities. Safety and cleanliness are also the top priorities at the school has doors locked during the school hours and the outdoor play area keep safe and fun environment for the kids. We also feel all the teachers at the school are putting so much efforts caring every student in the classroom and keeping us informed about our child's daily activities and progress. Overall, Lake Creek Montessori has greatly benefited our child's growth and we highly recommend it to out parents if you enjoy the Montessori principle and family orientated school.

Mrs. Amanda is truly one of those rare teachers who makes a lasting impact. She goes above and beyond to keep parents informed and involved, offering thoughtful updates and personalized support. You can tell she genuinely loves what she does, and that passion shines through in the way she connects with each child. Her 20+ years of experience in Montessori education really show—children progress so quickly under her care. She creates a learning environment that’s engaging, nurturing, and filled with real-life skills. It takes a special kind of teacher to do what she does with such patience, joy, and consistency. On top of this, the entire facility genuinely cares. They host fun events, offer great summer program activities, and have optional add-ons like ballet and tap—my child had a blast. The field trips are exciting and well-planned, and the Montessori layout is clean, beautifully organized, and supported by a spacious playground that the kids love. Mrs. Sarah, who has her own class, also occasionally steps in for Mrs. Amanda’s class—and she’s equally amazing. I’ve had really great conversations with both her and Mrs. Amanda and my daughter loves them both. They’re warm, communicative, and truly invested in the kids and their families. It feels more like a supportive community than just a school. They genuinely care, and that kind of love makes all the difference.

5-star review for Ms Lily (Toddler Class): Ms Lily is truly someone who loves children and is wholeheartedly dedicated to early childhood education. She was my son’s toddler class teacher, and our whole family is deeply grateful to her. Lily is also a grandmother herself, and you can feel her warmth, patience, and experience in everything she does. What touched me most is her ability to truly see each child — not judging them by one standard, but appreciating their unique strengths. My son used to be very shy, but under Lily’s care and encouragement, he has become so much more confident and outgoing.
