Cool Panda Chinese Learning

Our 4 year old boy Kai, looks forward to Cool Panda every Saturday! He has attended the Saturday immersion class for the first year, and he has already picked up some vocab, saying simple phrases, and understanding even more. Ms Siugi allowed us to have Kai sit in one of their demo classes previously to see if he would do well when he was 3 and it was a hit! I always love seeing how all of the kids quickly absorb and have fun interacting in Chinese school! Ms. Siugi is such a positive influence of joy who has a wonderful crew of staff to interact with every child with personalized attention at drop-off, and gives parents a recap of their child’s progress at pick-up. Her curriculum utilizes games, songs, activities, and crafts/art to keep kids engaged and excited to learn. I appreciate there is homework that we as family can do together and there's always a weekly video recap sent of what the kiddos learned so i get to follow along 🙂 As an American born Chinese now parent who grew up speaking Mandarin but has lost much of it, I am cognizant of want our kiddo to get as much exposure to speaking Mandarin as possible and play based Chinese immersion classes with Ms Siugi is a treat to make it fun for the kids. We’re so thankful for how great we get the chance to allow our son to learn in Austin about his culture and making it fun is what I wanted so he could see another side of learning that I grew up with in Houston and my Chinese parents. Plus the fact that my kiddo can say hello, goodbye and I love you to all his aunties and uncles in Mandarin is the cherry on top! 🙂

Both of my kids have been going to Cool Panda for almost two years. Recently, my oldest just moved up to the Elementary program, which is new and also introduces characters. He loves it! During the school week, they attend a Spanish immersion school and it's been amazing to see and hear how much Chinese they learn from only two hours a week. Ms. Siugi is so careful to make sure that she speaks only Chinese, and communicates if she uses English to explain more complex stories, like during Chinese New Year. It's a true immersion experience and she makes learning Chinese so much fun. No matter what is going on in their day (tired, hungry, annoyed with each other), my kids always want to go to Cool Panda.

Ms. Siugi greets every child with personalized attention at drop-off, and gives parents a recap of their child’s progress at pick-up. She uses games, songs, activities, and art to keep kids engaged and excited to learn. At home, we watch short videos of that week’s class, which are sent within a day or two after class, and do the provided one-page homework together. This helps us as parents bring the lesson home during the week. As parents who grew up speaking Mandarin but have lost much of it, we want our kiddo to get as much exposure to the language as possible. We’re so thankful for Cool Panda and the invaluable work they do to bring Chinese learning to Austin!

My 4 year old twins LOVE going to "panda school". Ms. Siugi and her team are so engaged and fun that my kids look forward to her class every week. The structure of the classes are so great and have really helped my kiddos absorb Mandarin quickly. It's pretty amazing!

Our two daughters loves going to Cool Panda to learn Mandarin. They usually do not get very excited about going to any type of school, but they do get really excited for Ms Siugi's class every weekend. Ms Siugi has a very gifted way to engage students in an entertaining and educational way. Our daughters have learned and retained a lot of Chinese from attending cool Panda.

My daughter has been attending Cool Panda for two years. She loves it and looks forward to the class every week. The teachers are kind, welcoming, inclusive, encouraging, and most importantly engaging! I couldn’t have hoped for a better introduction to Mandarin for my child.

My son loves the Chinese classes. He started at 3 years old. He is always excited for the class day to arrive, and the lessons are very dynamic.
