Master Yoon has an impressive background and is a very attentive, skilled instructor. He notices every small detail and corrects students’ postures with a sharp eye, ensuring everyone trains at their own pace. My son enjoys coming here for his Taekowndo, and I even decided to join the adult Hapkido class myself. It is more challenging than Pilates I used to do, but it has helped improve my overall fitness and even lowered my physical body age! (Measured with a machine at my Dr office :P) Since we train together, my son and I feel more energetic and capable of protecting ourselves — not just from "bad guys," but also from daily stress! ;D I highly recommend this gym to anyone who wants to strengthen both body and mind under expert guidance.

Our kids have been learning Taekwondo from Master Yoon for over 2 years and we are so happy about how much progress they made! Excellent school where the instructor provides you with full attention, help develop your skills, and just great overall atmosphere! Master Yoon is really good at taking the time to help each student. Taekwondo emphasizes strikes whereas Hapkido is a hybrid of grappling, strikes, weapons, etc. Highly recommend this school for everyone whether you're just starting your martial arts journey or an experienced martial artist. Have kids classes and adults classes available.

As a mother of a teenager, I highly recommend this martial art place. My son is learning Hapkido and he really enjoys it. Master Yoon's genuine teachings help build a healthy mind and a strong body, and the newly open place and it has a very safe mat so it is safe enough for children to exercise on.

As a current 1st dan in Hapkido, training with Master Yoon has been an amazing experience. I attend every class every week because of his training regiment and I can fly in the air and land on the ground without a scratch.

Master Yoon is very patient with all students, extremely mindful of everyone in class and wants to make sure everyone gets the attention they need. He takes interests in all of his students personally and pushes us not only to be better martial artists but better people. He's not like many instructors who have other helpers teach you, he's the one who actually shows each student how to preform each move. He's willing to take his time with those who are in need of a little extra help. The best instructor by far in the area

Master Yoon is by far a very impressive person to encounter. He is very disciplined, very strict in his teachings yet very considerate of his students. I am very proud to have my child be his student as i know she will learn alot from him. I do agree... he is the best instructor around the plainfield area.... i know for a fact all 3 of my kids will be training under him. Such an amazing instructor willing to build his students confidence. And what i like the most is it is him who directly teaches the class not like other places who have student instructors. He is true to his love and knowledge of martial arts.
