KW Music Studios - Piano Lessons

KW Music Studios has been teaching my daughters piano since my oldest was around 6 years old till her senior year in high school, and have enjoyed learning from Mrs. Weston, and they continue to love playing the piano. Kirstin is very patient and very encouraging and kind with the kids and love the fact that if needed, we can have virtual lessons with her if we're in a time crunch (Although they prefer in-person). Also, performing at the recitals has given my kids courage to perform in front of others. We also enjoy watching Kirstin and her husband perform at these recitals. Kirstin has a vast network of music teachers so if you can't make it to her studio, she is sure to have a colleague closer to your home.

Kirstin has done an amazing job teaching our children for the last 11 years. We now have 3 children taking lessons from her, and she has met each one where they are at with incredible skill and care. She has gone above and beyond in helping them grow in their love for music and in their skills. Each one of our children love her dearly and enjoy their lessons with her. They sit down at the piano and play just for the fun of it. Kirstin is constantly coming up with new and creative ways to inspire her students. She has been incredibly generous with her time and attention, providing extra support and help in preparing them for exams and competitions. She truly has a heart for children and for music, and our children have thrived under get care. I can't recommend her highly enough!

My three children have been taking piano lessons through KW for almost four years now and it has been a wonderful experience. Our instructor Tamara is fantastic engaging with the kids (even my high-energy son!) and they've come so far from their first lessons. The recitals are always well-done and give the kids something to work towards besides just weekly lessons / songs. Highly recommend if you're looking to get exposure to music!

My family has been students of Kirstin (the owner of the studio) for the past two years and we could not be happier with our experience with her studio. Despite Kirstin running the studio out of her home she is always dressed professionally, her home meticulously cleaned, and on time. Kirstin responds to texts, phone, calls and emails promptly and efficiently often providing more than one suggestion to my questions or schedule issues. I have two children currently working with her and value the individual and personalized approach with each kiddo. She is kind, caring and patient. I always appreciate her willingness to listen to whatever the kids want to discuss with her, even if it if off topic and then gently directs them back to the lesson. We have been very pleased with their progress and look forward to watching the kids flourish under Kirstin’s instruction.

Our experience with KW Music Studios was extremely disappointing. The teacher frequently cancelled lessons often on the same day and was consistently too busy to schedule make-up sessions. Despite our flexibility in adjusting to her schedule for several months, Kirstin ( the owner of the KW studio ) only allowed make-ups within a short three-month window and refused refunds. After being charged for the entire month of October, Kirstin informed me that the teacher could no longer teach from her home because her husband was working remotely and offered two unacceptable options : Switch to a different teacher or continue with the same teacher at the higher rate for in-home lessons. Changing terms after full payment had been collected is both unprofessional and inappropriate. Kirstin is also totally hands off and has never shown any interest in child progress or music artistry. It appears to me that this company is just a money making machine and nothing else. My husband plays piano for at least forty years. He had studied music for couple of years as well. According to him the pace of instruction was also quite slow. Despite multiple requests to include songs my 8 year old daughter enjoys and even providing a music book myself, the teacher ignored these suggestions. Kirstin also enforces a strict 24 hour cancellation policy for parents, yet the teacher repeatedly cancelled lessons the same day not only for illness but even for personal events such as her own birthday. Overall the lack of professionalism, reliability, and accountability from both the teacher and KW studio made this experience very frustrating. I do not recommend this studio to anyone seeking consistent, responsible, and student-focused piano instruction.

KW Music Studios is wonderful and we have been EXTREMELY happy with our experience there. Since beginning lessons a little over a year ago, our children have not only advanced their piano technique but have also become more dedicated and diligent in their practice. The studio is very organized, providing clear policies and fast communication. They work hard to accommodate schedules and we always receive recital information far in advance. We love that there are many performance opportunities such as recitals for residents at nearby retirement homes. Their teacher is so warm and engaging and our children love her. She is gentle yet also gives clear guidelines; they always know what they are expected to work on. She has so many creative ways of motivating students and fostering a love for piano. Our children always look forward to their lessons. Speaking for my whole family, we highly recommend KW Music Studios!!

Our 10-year-old son has thrived under the tutelage of KW Studios the past 2 years. Kirstin has matched our son with two teachers during the course of his piano study that have each been the right fit developmentally at the time. The teachers flexible schedule allows for in-home instruction and easy makeups of missed lessons. The recitals are professionally organized in a beautiful venue. Our son participates in multiple team sports and other activities all year round and still looks forward to his weekly piano lesson and loves to play. I highly recommend KW Music Studios!
