Salon Asylum - Woodway TX

Emalee is AMAZING! I have tried several people in the Waco/Woodway/Hewitt area and have finally found someone that can do what I ask. I have super thick and long hair and she has always been able to cut and color it exactly how I ask. I change hair color often and she is just as good with brunettes as she is with blondes! I am not one to review but this salon and Emalee are a must see if you're looking for someone to do your hair!

Stephany was amazing!! This was the first haircut I’ve gotten in a while that I genuinely loved. She also made me feel so comfortable, and will make sure your haircut turns out exactly the way you want it before you leave!!

Taylor was so so good! We had a really nice conversation going the whole time, genuinely the sweetest person in the whole world and cut my hair exactly how I wanted it and made sure I was okay with everything she did. Such an uplifting person 1000/10 recommend Taylor.

Such a beautiful and professional salon! I got my hair done by Kat and she is the best. I came in after being recommended her services since she is well trained in choppy, layered, alternative styles. She didn’t disappoint! Not only that but I came in with little vision in mind for what I wanted and Kat was super at listening to what I have done before, what is inspiring me currently for my look, and even taught me some tips and tricks on styling along the way. Well worth the visit to ensure you get the best service possible!

KAYLEE WAS THE ABSOLUTE BEST!! I’m just going to TRY to describe how amazing she did. My hair is the softest, healthiest, and prettiest it’s been in my life and I’m so so so in love with it 😭 the Karatin treatment was amazing, the hot towel massage was so good, just everything she did was an 11/10 in terms of treatment and getting my hair to the perfect color and consistency I wanted. Every other employee there was super sweet too!

I took my daughter to see Stephany and she did SO good. Stephany helped us figure out what type of cut to get because my daughter has very thick wavy hair and we wanted something cute and fresh and new. My daughter left the salon feeling beautiful and confident to start the school year with her new cut.

Started going to Asylum a couple of years ago. My first couple of experiences were great with Kaylee but when I recommended my wife go to her for her haircut the vibe was completely different. It’s like she didn’t know how to act around a same-sex couple + she was extremely rough while doing my wife’s hair & did not give my wife the same experience as I had previously experienced. For this reason I am giving Asylum a 1 star for not having an inclusive environment. Since my wife’s treatment during her service, we have not been back and instead have found a wonderful hairstylist who is inclusive & treats people with respect regardless of sexual orientation. If you’re looking for an inclusive hairstylist I HIGHLY recommend Amanda Garza! Her insta is @hollisticamanda! And guess what, she actually gives you the haircut/color you want at a responsible price!
