If you like a quieter place to have you hair cuts, colors, perms, or whatever- this is the place for you... Each stylist is in their own room of windows and a door. So if you're neuro-divergent and are suseptical to getting anxious with too many sounds and background activity, this may be the solution for you. I'd also recommend Angela Kim- she is calm, compassionate, and present to your hair style requests. She has an amazing well crafted talent for cutting your hair hair style according to how your hair will naturally bend/curl/lay.

Matty in Studio 20 did a bleach and tone on my long virgin hair. I told him that I wanted to go platinum but wanted to preserve my hair health so I was happy to take it gradually. He said he could do it in one session, no problem. He spent 10+ hours on it and when he started taking foils out at the shampoo bowl chunks of my hair were coming out with them. Years later and I am still dealing with uneven growth and insane damage. He claims to be a "blonde specialist" which is extremely concerning. I will never trust someone with color on my hair again. My doctor estimated that I lost about 50 percent of my hair. I went to see him for the scalp burns. Please do not trust this person with your hair.

Beautiful space! I recommend Melissa Vega. She is such a great stylist. My hair was 100% to my satisfaction! Salon Republic is a huge lush space with individual studios rented out by stylists. Everything looks very posh, clean and private. I had a very good experience getting my hair done here.

Some over the top lame blonde female who works there name Betty/Betsy was very rude! I went into the salon last week because it use to be the old Virgin Records back in the 90’s and I wanted to see how different it was inside. I haven’t been there since the 90’s. I also wanted to check out their salon products and see if there was something I wanted to buy. When I ask if it was the old Virgin Records Betty/Betsy said "no Virgin was on the other side." I said to her I believe it was there. Before I could ask for their salon products Betty/Betsy got in my face and said in a loud voice "WELL, I GUESS YOU KNOW MORE THAN ME! I thought it was very rude and a poor representation of the salon. I decided to leave and not buy anything. The guy at the front desk did see how she acted towards me and put his head down. Who ever runs that place should know how guest are being treated!

I had my eyebrows done a while back by a lady that was in unit #36, claiming to be an instructor and goes by Luxe By Cece. I have no idea how she is even working in this industry with the work she does. I have been dealing with this horrible micoblading for the past couple years and I have done blading removal and nothing has lightened it. Who does black ink on a blonde girl? I saw it was pretty dark & she assured me that it would lighten. It was my first time, so I was unaware of what to expect. Not only was the color completely messed up, she was so uneven with the brows. I hate leaving bad reviews, which is why it has taken me so long to do so, but I am constantly spending so much time trying to cover this disaster work. It has been a nightmare.

I can't speak for all the other stylists and businesses at Salon Republic (which is a space where individual salons can rent rooms), but Rosa (Salon RRER) is the absolute best. She is an expert at what she does and she genuinely cares about her clients. Cuts, colors, etc. are the best and I always get compliments on my hair.
