Michael has been taking care of my hair for over 4 years now. He had to take some time off recently and I realized how much I appreciate him not only as a professional, but as a person as well. Michael knows his craft and he is also very kind and attentive. I'm not easy to please but he has exceeded my expectations on all fronts. I look forward to my appointments with him every time and I feel like a million bucks when I leave the salon.

My third time getting the Uberliss keratin treatment with Michael and it works wonders! I have long thick curly mixed hair (down to my tailbone) and Michael is very patient and takes his time on my hair which I really appreciate. The treatment feels much better on my hair than a traditional Brazilian with all the toxins. I wanted a cleaner product with the same results and I got just that. Lasts about 2.5-3 months on my hair and I wash once a week. Love the results!

Michael John, MJ Hair* has been my hairdresser for nearly 20 years. He is exceptional. A true hair artist. And a wonderful, fun human being whose caring is evident in everything he does. After each and every visit I leave with a spring in my step, feeling both revived and, yes, rather restored. His instincts on hair cut styles best suited to frame my face are so spot-on. He is a brilliant colorist—his skill at picking my underlying base color, combined with highlights—extraordinary. (No small feat when ur hair is nearly all gray and mousy brown underneath). He’s great at Brazilians. And his hair styling via blowouts—terrific. The styling keeps its shape for days! And Ichka, the salon owner, gives great mani/pedis! The salon’s design and ambiance— welcoming, even calming. Also further helped along by a small coffee house I frequent that’s a few doors down. *not to be confused with another business MJ Hair Designs! Different person entirely.

I had my second Uberliss keratin treatment with Michael this week and couldn’t be happier! I’m mixed with very curly hair and was looking for a non-toxic keratin treatment that would still retain my curl pattern. I knew I was in good hands as soon as I arrived at the salon - Michael is incredibly knowledgeable about the products he uses and was able to answer all my questions. The treatment itself was gentle (especially compared to the Brazilian Blowout), and left my hair visibly stronger, shinier, and curls much more manageable. The effects of the treatment are additive, so I’m looking forward to how my hair improves after more treatments!

Michael did such a wonderful job styling my hair for a wedding! He is so pleasant to be around and he offered great suggestions to fit my look. Michael's attention to detail earned me many compliments at the party. I have long hair and my issue is that styles usually don't hold up. Michael did a remarkable job and my updo lasted well into the night. I highly recommend him!

Michael always does a great job on my hair and is very professional. He shows me exactly how he is going to cut my hair and makes sure I like how it looks (not too short/too long, etc.) He is always able to squeeze me into his schedule even on short notice. Also, the salon is very relaxing and he offers coffee!

Michael is the most wonderful hairdresser ever. Color specialist and hair artist. If you are not sure of what to do, he will give you suggestions of what will accentuate your best features. Michael is so modest about his abilities. He is amazing and so genuine. He is flexible with his schedule to accommodate his clients, he has opened his salon to accommodate me on his days off and stayed late. I never had a professional accomidate me like Michael. I don’t know what I would do without him. I was so fed up with my dry frizzy thinning fine hair. He suggested a Keratin treatment. What a difference it made for me. My hair looks and feels so healthy and shiny. I couldn’t be happier.
