Lee's Hair Story

I have been going to Lee since before the pandemic. He is the only person I trust with my haircut, because he understands how to best style Asian hair. I always come out looking fresh and cute! Women's standard haircut are $50 IMPORTANT FYI: + Lee has MOVED to Watertown in the My Salon Suite (see photo, if you look closely you can see his cool blue hair 😁) + Credit Cards are no longer accepted Lee is instrumental to the community needs. I always find Mr. Lee very cordial and he does remember you, and yes, his cuts are always perfect for me (and my husband likes the way I look after the cuts), which I really appreciate!

Great experience! Mr. Lee is very kind and friendly! I felt like he really took his time and pay close attention to my hair and I loved how it came out. I don't know what the other reviews are talking about when they say he is quiet. When I went for my haircut he taught me what the hairstyle I want is called and told me how to achieve it. I showed him a picture and he immediately knew which shows his expertise in hair. I guess what the other reviewers mean is that he doesn't do much small talking. Which I personally think it's a good thing. All in all, I give this place a five star and I will keep coming back! Thank you Mr. Lee! For months I have been going to my local barber and they kept messing up my hair and you have fixed my hair! I highly recommend! 👍

I have been going to Lee for 5+ years. Despite his oversized and strong build/appearance, he is very delicate and precise in his haircuts. He is always straight down to business and does not talk at all. You will often go through the entire haircut without saying a word, which I appreciate. I spent years looking for a barber that could handle Asian hair, and his style is consistent and clean. You will need to call ahead to make an appointment since he is usually too busy to accept walk ins. He recently moved to Watertown (150 Arsenal St) from Allston, so make sure to go to the right place! Highly recommended.

Been going here for 5 years. Lee is a man of few words, but I prefer it that way. Just show him a picture of what kind of hairstyle you want and he'll work his magic. His new location in Watertown is much better than the Brighton/Allston one. I wish he would accept credit cards again (he stopped in the last 1yr+). Definitely come here if you have thick Asian hair!!

I've been going to Lee's Hair Story for over a year now. I've been to other barbers and hair stylists around Boston but haven't been as impressed as I am with Lee's. Lee is a bit aloof but is an all around nice guy underneath his gruff look. And his ability to handle hair is top notch. I once asked him if he could cut my hair on the back of my head more, but he told me that it might cause my hair to stand if he did so. I appreciated that he was that familiar with my hair and knows haircutting to a science. Seems like a mark of a true master. I'm only docking a star because he might not be for "everyone". I'm fine with his stoic demeanor but others might value the experience of being serviced by a stylist who is chattier or friendlier.

Mr. Lee is super nice and amazingly talented hair stylist! He was very accommodating and reasonably priced. Overall I am very pleased with my first appointment with Mr. Lee and highly recommend him!
