Not gunna lie, I had high hopes for this place, but was kinda disappointed. My hair was down to my butt and I wanted a shaggy mullet look, so I set up a consultation last Friday at 10am, after speaking with the owner Jules. The day before, she said she had something come up and needed to push my appointment back to 2pm. Not a big deal, it was my day off! I get there right at 2 and the door was locked, lights off, and no one there. I texted Jules and she said she would be back in a few minutes. So she gets back and we go inside. She was super nice, but when we started the consult, she didnt really ask any questions about what I wanted. I had sent her pictures and she looked at them once and just started with cutting. After awhile, I smelled what I believed to be alchol on her breathe, but I ignored it thinking I was imagining it. Now, I'm no professional stylist, but watching her cut, it seemed very rushed and she wasnt really measuring anything. I have cut my own hair and bangs before so I kinda know what to do on my own. After awhile, her colorist vendor came in and when she walked to the back Jules said "I got something for us!" And the colorist proceeded to see a bottle of Fireball and Jules says, "I know you want a shot!" And that was when I became fairly certain she had been drinking before my appointment. I let her finish the cut, $75 for the cut and I tipped her $25 and left. I told her it looked good when I left, because I only looked at it for a few minutes and im bad about speaking up about things. I got in my car and started looking at my hair and it didn't look all that great. Got home and started really looking at it, I had asked for V shaped bangs and not only was the lowest center of the bangs positioned over my right eyebrow, but they were all uneven. (I had to have my non professional friend fix them the best she could) The two front face framing pieces were completely two different lengths and different sizes, with them not starting at the same place on top my head. The sides were sloppy with different lengths on either side. The bangs are not measured out correctly, just haphazardly grabbed and cut to the front of my head. I will need to go somewhere and have it all fixed up once its grown out some, but at this point, I'm just kinda stuck with what I got cause I don't want to make it any shorter. Jules was very sweet and conversationalist and the shop was very cute, but I wont be going back.

I am pretty new to Tulsa and needed a hair stylist. I chose Alchemy Haircraft because of the reviews. Jules gave me the best haircut and color of my life. My long curls look awesome. She has created a peaceful environment in which she practices her art. It was a wonderful all around experience! Make an appointment. You will not be disappointed!

Julz is great! I always get compliments on her work. She listens if I request anything, is talented and artistic. The salon is clean and she uses high quality products. Highly recommend you try her if you're looking for someone talented to do your hair! Also, she's dependable and has worked me in when my work schedule got crazy.
