The salon itself is really nice. A bit pricey, but not different from some others. My personal experience looking for a hair stylist was awful, truly. We even discussed in detail WITH several photos of what I was looking for and she basically did what she wanted. I won't expose her name but needless to say I won't be going back. I hope your experience is much better.

I asked for a consultation for a stylist who could do balayage. I was given a consultation with Daniela. During the consultation I told her that I would be bringing in my own color and made sure she was comfortable with it. She said she loved my color and was completely fine with it and would discount the price a bit to reflect that. My appointment was today and she she said she was getting her tools and came back with the manager who said I would have to sign a contact because they did not train on the color brand I brought in and that they would not discount the price. I was fine with no discount but was not interested in signing a contract. I have used this color and it’s very high quality and I can actually apply it myself with great results. I told her this at the consultation in great detail including the different colors that are blended etc) All of this should have been mentioned at the time of the consultation so as not to completely waste my time. I had to drive there and block out three hours of my day. The manager did not really apologize and neither did Daniela. The manager kept trying to somehow blame me for not wanting to use their color but I explained all of this at the consultation.. She also said that when she saw the color (its professional color that my old stylist in Phoenix used) she became uncomfortable. Really annoying. They make a big point out of opening the door when you leave and I would suggest that you just not go there.

I have been growing my hair out for 3+ years and decided to treat myself to a slight darkening in color and curtain bangs. Nicaela gave me an extremely uneven and messy haircut with chunky, uneven curtain bangs (1"+ difference in length on either side) and gave me a color I did not want at all. It had purple undertones and was nearly black (my hair is naturally bronde). She also gave me semipermanent dye when I specifically asked for Demi (which washes out/fades after a few months). I had to wait over a week to go back to a master stylist who didn’t schedule enough time to properly fix my hair. She was visibly upset about my the poor quality of my haircut and had to cut it AGAIN (I wanted it to stay as long as possible, and she cut 4+ inches cut off to "fix" my cut). She did nothing to fix the purple undertones in my hair, when all I wanted was for the color to be removed, or to give me highlights and toner to get it back to as close to my natural color as possible. She said there was "nothing she could do" even with "40 years of experience". 4 weeks later, I am still very upset with it and am stuck with a horrible haircut and a color I hate.

Each and everyone of these 5 stars are for the best hairstylist in that building, Annabelle! I let her know that I was short on time and she got me washed and styled in less than 40 minutes. I received so many compliments later at my party! She is the best, the LeBron James of blowouts!

This salon didn’t get the color right. When calling for a consultation the receptionist was very difficult and rude. I took time out of my day to go and have this done just for it not to get done right. Everyone tries to act so nice and opens the door for when you are leaving. But besides that the place isn’t anything special. The manager and stylist gave me a hard time. The young lady at the front desk just seems like she doesn’t even want to be there.

I've been to Gadabout many times and have always had great experiences. Today, I went and got one of the best haircuts ever. Annabelle cut me and my son's hair today. She is great, patient and really gave us what we asked for. Thank you Annabelle!!!

DONT Go to any Gadabout salons! I had an appointment scheduled for today. Two hours before the appointment, they called to tell me that I would have to be seen by a master due to a note on my file. I am not paying that price! I should not be penalized for the fact that I’ve had to go back two different times to have my haircuts corrected. You would think that even their newer stylist would be able to cut hair straight. Last time I went there, my haircut took three hours and I have short hair. A master had to fix it. How dare they call me two hours before my appointment to tell I cannot be seen by the stylist that was recommended to me when I called to make the appointment over a week ago. Why didn’t they tell me when I was scheduled there was a note on my file?
