Received a nearly completely different haircut than the one requested. Haircut is almost exactly HALF the length than the requested length… Also, the technique is not up to professional standard at all. Uneven cut. Most painful haircut of my girlfriend’s life (quoted), and the stylist’s attitude to the dislike of her haircut was unacceptable. My girlfriend rarely does reviews, so I’m putting one for her here. She asked for a medium length haircut that ends at her chest. Even confirmed with the stylist multiple times before the stylist began cutting. From the very first cut, my girlfriend could tell that it wasn’t going to be the length she originally requested. The stylist began the haircut at the requested length… So after all the fixing and rounding the edges, the final haircut was NOT AT ALL the length my girlfriend requested, leaving her heartbroken as she hadn’t cut her hair in a long time due to the exact same issue happening at other salons in this area. It was about shoulder length. Then, about the technique, the stylist does not fully wet the hair when cutting. My girlfriend’s hair is frizzy with multiple slight curls throughout, so if you want an even cut, you MUST fully wet the hair. She says she shouldn’t even have let the stylist continue the haircut after noticing they weren’t going to fully wet her hair. She has never once gotten a dry haircut before, but also never gotten such a cheap haircut before… Sure, maybe the low price = no wash. BUT, since there was no wash provided, this was the most painful haircut of her life. Due to her frizzy hair, the small amounts of sprayed water on her hair resulted in her hair getting tangled. The stylist would simply pull through the tangled parts with the hair comb, disregarding the pain it would cause my girlfriend. More about the technique… The stylist did not even properly part her hair before cutting it. Surely you cannot excuse this due to the low price of the cut. It is standard procedure to at the very least part the hair so that the cut is even after you cut it. The stylist here seems to only really know how to cut short hairstyles well, since everyone there had short styles. She had shown the stylist a picture of the haircut she wanted. The worst part is that her bangs were ALSO cut to half the length she wanted. So now, instead of starting at her cheeks, her bangs start at her EYEBROWS… She has never seen anyone have bangs this short before (given they don’t have short hair). She said it makes her look like she got a haircut from a barber with razors, since it is so uneven (due to the stylist cutting on basically dry hair instead of wet hair). IF YOU CANNOT DO THE REQUESTED CUT, TELL THE CUSTOMER BEFORE YOU CUT THEIR HAIR WAY TOO SHORT… Only came from a friend’s positive recommendation, but never again. Overall, I would expect any hair salon to be able to, AT THE VERY LEAST, keep the length of the requested cut about the same, give or take <1 inch. And when told that the haircut was way too short, the stylist simply LAUGHED awkwardly and didn’t even say an apology for the completely different haircut than requested. It’s better to get a haircut at a haircut school than here… and it costs about the same.

The owner is really skilled and experienced! If I had to choose any person to cut my hair, it would be her. However, be warned, just like every other hair stylist out there for some reason, she likes to chop off way more than you ask for.

I have been going here for 7+ years for haircuts, color and I just got a perm the other day which I love! My hair still feels super healthy after getting it permed. Quick tip: sometimes she tends to cut hair a little bit shorter than you ask, so you just have to remind her to only cut it to the length you want it at.

I have been going to this salon for last 25 years. Chong Hee is always courteous and smile. She knows what style I want for my hair. Even though I moved to another town and it takes for one and half hour for driving, it is worth to driving.

Chong knows how to do Asian hair. Every time I have my hair done, whether if it is a cut, perm, or color, it always looks good in the end. She is my go-to hair dresser!
