Cutz Hair Salon

On August 20, 2025, I drove my daughter to a hair salon appointment, which took us about 80 minutes to get to. We arrived at 5:00 p.m., the time we had booked. When we walked in, the hairdresser (Korean lady) was arguing with another customer. From what we overheard, she seemed to be apologizing for double-booking the appointment. We waited about ten minutes until that customer left, after rescheduling for Sunday. Before starting on my daughter’s hair, the hairdresser began telling us, "I shouldn’t have booked you. I don’t usually accept strangers or new clients. You were just lucky because I didn’t have my booking diary with me when you called. I thought I had this spot available. I’m tired, and I don’t want to take too many clients… now I have to work on Sunday." She repeated these comments several times. After finishing the haircut, she told my daughter, "I’d like to offer you a $5 discount because you’re a student. Study hard!" Then, while showing us the payment machine, she asked directly, "Are you going to pay a 15% tip?" We went ahead and paid before leaving. Unfortunately, my daughter’s haircut did not turn out well, and according to her, the hairdresser was also quite rough—at times hitting her head harshly during the process. This was, without question, the worst experience we’ve had at a hair salon or any other places we received any type of service. The hairdresser was rude, unprofessional, and made us feel extremely uncomfortable.

I've been to a lot of different places for haircuts before and this was the first time I really felt heard and got what I wanted. Linda exceeded my expectations and really delivered in both the haircut and perm, but also the customer service! When doing my hair she thought of different hairstyles I would have and made sure that the hair would look good in all styles, up or down. She thinks ahead in the process and you can tell that she's had a lot of experience, which she has. She's a really diligent worker that delivers both quality, timeliness, and price! Her studio is decorated with these beautiful paintings that were drawn by her too! I definitely plan on coming back! She also doesn't force conversation so it was comfortable just sitting in silence, but when we did have conversation she was a great conversationalist and a lot of fun! Thank you Linda for this great experience!!!

Bonnie is the best !!! Color and Cut service is absolutely most awesome EVERY time....i have been seeing Bonnie exclusively for a few years and although i have color Bonnie manages to keep my hair healthy.... she is great especially for clients with longer hair !!! Her experience and talent keep me coming back ...i love my hair because of Bonnie !!!!

I would highly recommend Linda to everyone, especially to those people who love Asian hairstyles. Linda is really caring and professional that she fixed my terrible hair that was did by another stylist. She totally understood what kind of hairstyle I want and she did it perfect! I do think she is the best stylist in Greater Detroit area for Asian hair!

I've been getting my haircut from Linda for almost a decade, and her skills and service are flawless. It's not at all easy to get a quality haircut from others around the area, and I postpone getting my haircut even when I'm out of state and my hair grows long just so I can come back to this place and get it from her. I've never been disappointed by her skills and service, and I'm relieved to see many nice reviews for her place. If you show her a picture of hairstyle you want to get, she will almost always correctly give you that haircut which amazes me every time. Price is affordable, and service has always been good as she and other staffs there are friendly and care for you, consistently striving to do better. I'd definitely recommend getting a haircut at this place from Linda!

I love my husbands hair cut every time he gets it cut by Linda. He even said she's the best in Michigan. He has been to a lot of salons in Novi area but they just don't compare. We will drive to Rochester to get his hair cut. Linda is great at looking at pictures we bring in.. She will cut it 90% similar to the picture but will do a better job according to your face shape/head. We definitely recommend going to Linda!

Best experience ever!! Ms. Linda knows how to treat customers with outstanding customer service and stylish hair cut skills. She is detail oriented person who never forget customers taste and preference on a first visit. I've been known Linda for over an year without any disappointment. You would not regret!
