I had just combed out my locs that I had for three years. I walked in and was greeted with a calming and welcoming energy. I asked if they do wash and sets on natural curly hair and she said "ofc we do", I 10/10 recommend. The energy in this hair salon is very welcoming and loving. They will have you smiling in your chair. They made me want to get up and dance with them. Thank you guys for making me feel and look beautiful.

I got my hair done about a month ago as an emergency because I couldn't make it to my normal beautician. The experience was wonderful. Hands down, that's what would make me want to go back. A month later, my hair has better to revert to my normal hair type. Either from heat damage or texturizer that's in the shampoo, conditioner, or hot oil treatment. Which they have denied. 😒 Would I go back. Absolutely not. Would I suggest for someone else to go back: only if you're in a pinch and bring your own products.

I used to go to this salon a few years ago under the previous owner. I came today because I was tired of braids and wanted to let my hair breath. From the moment I stepped in the door they were attentive, courteous, service was great, prices are reasonable. Overall great experience, I will be returning.

I had such a great visit at Kiara’s Dominican Salon! The vibe was calm and welcoming from the moment I walked in. Everyone on the team was kind and attentive, and my stylist really listened to what I wanted while offering helpful advice based on my hair type. I’ll definitely be returning!

I went to get my haircut yesterday with my mom who also got a cut and a dye job. This place truly cares about the hair and the person. They are patient and very efficient. Hair wash was thorough, blow dry flawless, cut so neat. Truly professional. I feel like they can look at you and just tell what you need. Thanks to my hairdressers professional advice, I got one of the healthiest cuts in years. My mom’s color didn’t come out right the first time because she wanted it too light, but they had the patience to do it over and perfectly! Not only did we leave the salon feeling fabulous, we woke up the next day feeling beautiful. Had to write this review. We chose this place not knowing where to go to begin with, and we are not disappointed. I recommend this salon if you need a new spot!

I’ve only been 2x as a recommendation from a friend, and by far it is one of the best Dominican salons on Staten Island. Everyone is sweet and professional, and even on a busy day you won’t be waiting all day to be washed or blow dried. Definitely will be coming on a regular basis ❤️
