On Jan 15, 2026, I got cancelled last minute on a hair updo by another salon. While I was stressing, I called this Velvet Edge Salon. Angela Varraco (I might spell her last name wrong) took me in the last minute for a Hollywood Waves. You have no idea how grateful I am. Best salon, best stylist Angela, and great team! Shout out to Aaron too, the barber who made me coffee after he overheard I want coffee ☕ which they don't even offer coffee in the shop! Angela, you are the best. Highly recommend. I might come back for keratin treatment.. Thanks for making me beautiful and saving the day! And happy birthday to you! Great team, great people, great hair stylists. Lovely vibe! Angela is the hair QUEEN! First hairstylist to actually make my inspiration photo come to life! She also makes being there so fun with her bubbly personality and cool salon vibes. I’ve gotten my hair cut, highlighted and extensions and couldn’t be happier! I’ve been blonde for a long time and she is a blonde PRO. Cannot go wrong coming to Velvet Edge!

Just wanted to stop by and leave a 5 star review for Velvet Edge Salon & Barbershop! During the busy holiday season, Angela took a last minute appointment with me for a blowout with extensions. Everyone else in town was booked solid, but Angela did me a favor & stayed overtime to give me an appointment that was at the end of her operating hours - making sure I looked fantastic for a holiday party! 🎊🥳🍾🥰 Thanks Angela! Oh, and I love that she’s a fellow female entrepreneur!! You rock, girl!!😉 She even gave me a complimentary packet of beautiful, silky hair ties for Christmas - as a first time customer, all of this was such a pleasant surprise! I will certainly be back to frequent her salon!! 🥰💝💘💕

Mikaila is fantastic! I absolutely love my haircut and style every time. She really listens to what you want and delivers. Availability is great even on short notice. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of work. Highly recommend!

This is my second time seeing Ash and I will definitely continue to come back! As a curly hair girl, it has been a long journey of trying different salons and never being fully satisfied with the cut. Ash is a knowledgeable hairstylist who has given me more confidence in my curls. Overall great experience at this salon and Ash is amazing!!

I can't recommend the lovely ladies (and men Ig) at Velvet Edge enough! The environment is warm and welcoming. But I especially have to endorse Bailey!! She's been my go to for over two years now and helped me achieve of my blonde dreams that were once so out of my reach...but she worked her magic and here we are. I have been going to Albie for my dry cuts for YEARS! Always happy with the look I get. Easy to care for between cuts. When Angela bought VlVt Salon and turned it into the Velvet Edge, the difference was amazing! Great addition of a variety of stylists for color, extensions and curly hair, as well as a barber shop. Angela is my "go to" for my color and she's the best! Check them out on Central Avenue.
