Omg 😮 I live in St. Petersburg Florida. *I have also had my far share of bad hair stylist. *Yesterday, I won the hair stylist lottery. January 23, 2026. * I have found my hair stylist. She not only did a consultation with me. *She made sure that I was comfortable throughout the whole appointment. *Before trimming my ends. She taught me how to feel my hair for the split ends. *Before getting scissors happy. She told me about options for trimming my hair. She did a hairstyle with my natural hair. I absolutely love it. I can't wait until about another year or two from now. To see my hair flourishing under her care. My stylists name is Consuelo Mackey.

I highly recommend this stylist! Consuelo is very attentive to her clients’ needs and extremely patient — which is so important, especially since as women we can sometimes be unsure of exactly what we want. She is professional, warm, and creates a friendly atmosphere where you feel comfortable and cared for. I’m not going to lie I was ready to cut off my locs the other day and especially since I’m traveling from the UK. I’m the person that over researches a place and I did with TET. Then I said to myself okay I will just go there for the consultation and feel the vibe in there as energy speaks a lot for me. I ran across TET salon on central and I’m so glad I did! My stylist Conswella made me feel beautiful again! My hair felt amazing after the hydration treatment. The salon was well decorated and Conswella was very professional and has such a nice aura. Before I left the salon I made sure to book my next appointment.

Our appointment was at 5 and we waited until 5:30. Not usually a problem. I know things happen. 30 minutes isn’t a big deal. But it was the experience afterwards that rubbed me the wrong way. I was told that one of my daughter’s hair was in horrible condition and that I booked the appointment wrong. This was our first time there and in my opinion, it’s her responsibility to call new clients to ensure proper scheduling. She said other new clients have made similar mistakes. Then she berated me in the middle of the salon while ringing up another client. She stated to the other customer, "And thank you for booking your appointment the RIGHT way" while she side eyed me. The other client glanced at me uncomfortably and awkwardly. I almost lost it. But maintained my composure. My daughters said she was very rough with their hair and the water was either extremely hot or extremely cold. I was hoping for a good experience as she has great reviews but this was the worst salon experience I have seen in my 33 years. Maybe she was having a bad day. I’m not sure. But being extremely rude and rough with my daughters is unacceptable. I ended up paying $200-300 for her services as well. I honestly wish I would have just left in the very beginning rather than put my daughters through that experience.

Consuelo has been my stylist for over 10 years and I respect her talent, professionalism, business practices and hair health knowledge to the highest degree. Often times I just sit and watch her interaction with other clients as she educates them on how to maintain their healthy hair and it solidifies my decision to allow her to be my stylist. She treats all clients with the same level of respect and dignity no matter what service you are receiving. Her salon is like an oasis from the chaos of the day-to-day world craziness; you enter the salon and are immediately engulfed by the serenity of the atmosphere. The way she exercises patience with some clients who tend to be difficult to please or who don't understand that healthy hair is a priority for her is to be commended. She wants your hair healthy more than she wants your money and her recommendations are not about what you spend but which services will help you achieve and maintain healthy hair. If you want a partner in your hair care, she is your stylist; if you want something less than that, then you may want to allow someone else to do your hair. I find her pricing comparable to the services received, sometimes lower than what expected based on the quality of care my hair receives. I consider her a blessing as she partners with me for my hair care. Thank you Consuelo for being consistent in your performance and for your love and care for my hair.
