12/23 reply to owner response: I have not ignored any calls, no one has attempted to contact me back. I did come in for a perm on my very nicely done hair coloring (icy blond) that was not damaged by any level! Jen informed me she would not do a perm on my hair because it had bleach work done on it, and she did not want to risk damaging it. I thanked her for her advice. Instead, I asked if she could pull through some warm, low lights, but keep my Icy blonde look & she said she could do that. I showed her a past image of my hair to confirm. When I left, I had strong levels of purple tint (from the toner she applied to my hair being left on too long) remaining in my hair that Jen informed me would " fade away"(as seen in the image below is what I looked like when I left) I could NOT SEE the overall condition of my hair because of the tint and trusted her word that I would see the blond come through & yes, I tip because good people tip especially when a person shares their personal story and you wish to support and Jen the added responsibility of being the "unpaid manager" for the salon to "help the owner out because she can't afford to otherwise". You feel obligated at such a point. 6 days later, I was starting to see the discoloration on my hair as the purple tint began to fade, and decided to go elsewhere after to try to get the sections of my hair repaired that I could visually see as my confidence was already lost. Once I visited a different salon, they were able to show me the underlying damage done to my hair. I immediately emailed your store after calling several times and not getting a response. The email was a direct email to the salon, and no one replied to me to inform me that Jen was not able to get back to me, which she still has not done! It's unfortunate that there is so much miscommunication from the rest of the team that could have spared this review going live and allowed Jen to resolve this issue privately, however, it this result should not have happened in the first place with the years of experience she supposedly has! This is a result you would expect from a student just learning how to do hair, not 31 years! I should not have been in the position to even request a color correction, I should have been able to walk out with a well blended job, not yellow blotched rows of bleach! I deserve a refund! Note: I did request a refund and was ignored. This was a hard decision to submit a poor review. Typically, if I wasn't happy with a process on my hair, I would ask for a correction to be done. However, I have zero faith in anyone being able to accomplish that on my hair from this salon. My initial setup was incredibly challenging; there was no confirmation for my appointment until someone finally answered the phone days later to confirm my online appointment was even received. My experience was catastrophic. Jen advertises that she has 31 years of experience. That is a gross misrepresentation in regards to hair. It was disclosed to me after she started on my hair that lashes are her primary job. Jen should not be doing hair. The attached pictures are the failed result of getting some low-lights pulled through on my platinum blonde hair after 3 hours in the chair and $230 charge. My hair now requires major color correction, which will reuqore several treatments.

Jen Ross is the sweetest person, she makes me feel comfortable. And I have full lashes and they are beautiful I get a lot of compliments.

Jen is amazing! She has been doing my hair and lashes for several years now and does the best job. She cares about her clients and wants to make them look their best. She is easy to communicate with and get a hold of. My lashes are always full and last longer than other places I’ve been too. I’m very happy with how she does mine!

This is such an amazing salon! It’s in a great location and super clean. The staff is friendly and down to earth. I get my nails done here by Jennifer Young and she does a phenomenal job! She is efficient and very detailed and can do fun designs and any and all shapes…not to mention she is super easy to talk to which is very important when you sit with someone for an hour. If you’re looking for a salon or nail tech you can’t go wrong with Jen Young or I Am Salon!

I have been seeing Jessica Taylor for my nails for a year. She is amazing! She always takes my ideas and makes my nails look cuter than I imagined.

Shayla is my favorite! She always gets my hair right and is so fun to sit with! She really listens to what I’m looking for and takes the time to get it right! She’s so honest about my hair too! If she feels like something will damage my hair or not work with my tones she’s so willing to tell me! It’s like having a best friend behind the chair that doesn’t want you to have a bad hair day! I LOVE her!!!!

I come here for Jessica!!! She does amazing work, listens to what I want, suggests great ideas, and together we collaborate and try colors or designs until it’s perfect. She takes her time to ensure perfection unlike some places that just rush you in and out.
